jfaughnan started following the problem "Why can't I turn off conversation threading in gmail; it's fatal for my business!" in Google.

Google has a bug with storage allotment (Gmail, Picasa)Google is reporting my account storage (largely used by Picasa Web Albums and also by Gmail) incorrectly.
See http://tech.kateva.org/2009/11/google.... Here's the current status:
Google has some paid storage issues.
When I look at My Google Account Personal Settings, I see I'm using 83% of my Storage Space (8.27 GB).
However, in Gmail it says I'm using 9.9 GB of 17.2 GB (57%).
In the manage storage view It says I'm using
Gmail: 1.6 of 8.33 GB (19%)
Picasa: 1 GB (100%)
Paid Storage: Picasa 8.27 GB (83%), Available 1.73 GB (17%)
So from some views I'm seeing the sum of my standard Gmail allotment plus 1 GB from Picasa, in other views I'm seeing a percentage of the sum of all my allotments, and lastly I see a view where all the storage allotments are segregated.
These are unlikely to all be correct.

Email interface for the creation of Google Reader Shared Notes.Email interface for Google Reader notes. Emailed notes appear in shared item feed.
Example: Read NYT article on iPhone app, email link and comments to Google Reader. Creates Note.

Google Voice web app forgets my credentialsAs a deprived iPhone user (curse you Apple!!) I don't have a dedicated GV client. I have to use the web app.
That's bad. The web app is achingly slow.
What's worse is that it makes me reenter my credentials. Typically when I'm clicking the shortcut (one tap) that dials my mother. While I'm driving (yes, bad -- but my mother is not distracting and she lives for my calls).
Google, could you please fix the problem that makes the GV web app forget my credentials? Gmail and Reader don't have this problem.

I feel your pain. Usually Apple's flaw is arrogance and Google's flaw is being TOO customer driven, but this time Google isn't responding to customers.
It's made all the worse by the behavior of not showing subject lines on replies.
My workaround is to revise the subject on many replies, this breaks the threading model.

Please fix the 5,000 post Dashboard limitI am unable to use the Dashboard to edit or search on any post predating the most recent 5000 posts.
Google acknowledged this was a bug in July 2009.
Please fix the 5,000 post limit.

Reaction feature not showing on blogI tried adding the "reaction" feature to two of my blogs. I use standard templates.
One blog it worked.
Another, it didn't. I was able to edit and save the list, but the options don't appear when I preview or publish.
The blog on which it failed has over 5,000 posts.-

jfaughnan asked a question in Google on October 25, 2009 02:11:
Why are there no "links to this post"?I have several blogs, and I often link from one to the other. I also link within my blogs. These blogs are pure as can be, no ads (notes.kateva.org for example).
Despite all my internal links "LINKS TO THIS POST" is almost always empty. I'm surprised occasionally to find something there, but 95% there's nothing.
I'd LOVE to have this working. I use my blogs to extend my memory and mind, and backlinks would be huge.
Whey doesn't this feature work? Will Google ever fix it?

Great work on the agenda display for invitesI love seeing the "Your Agenda for Fri Oct 23, 2009" list when I evaluate an incoming appointment in gmail.
Google Calendar is one of my all time favorite apps, one of the few web apps that, in my use, beats out desktop competition.
jfaughnan marked one of Mihai Parparita's replies in Google Reader as useful. Mihai Parparita replied to the problem "Shared item web page feed includes non-shared items".

Shared item web page feed includes non-shared itemsWhen you share an item in Google you also create a companion web page. If you view that web page you will see it has a link to a feed for the page.
The good thing is the shared page feed includes all items that are shared.
The bad thing is the shared page feed includes many items that have not been read or shared. These appear to have been magically taken from one's subscriptions.
Example:
shared item page:
http://www.google.com/reader/shared/j...
shared item page feed: feed://www.google.com/reader/atom/user/06457543619879090746/state/com.google/reading-list
