Hi Fred, thanks for the quick reply. For both points I am referring the todo list on the dashboard, not on a project task page, which I think you are referring to in your first paragraph. I know that the blog mentioned more updates are on the way to this feature, so wanted to share these two ideas.

A more useful todo list please!

Here are some ideas for the todo list, which is a bit limited and has a lot of potential...

1) I think I mentioned on the blog, it would also be really nice to be able to prioritize items on the todo list, like making items stick to the top of the list. I can get a feel for what I should be working on first during that day. This would be independent of any due dates set on the items.

2) Most of the things on my goplan account are for me. I don't want to have to assign every task, for example, to me. So I think it would be nice to have an option on the todo list to include un-assigned items.

Oops. Yes of course, that makes sense. Guess I wasn't trusting the status bar and just assumed it wouldn't know what I wanted to do so never tried it!

Can we have a time-tracking button in the task view? Sometimes I find I am on a task page (having clicked through from a Milestone for example) and find it a bit odd that I need to go back to the full task list, find the task again and start time tracking it.

Time-tracking: Pause or timesheet merge task feature

For time-tracking, I am finding that I need to pause the timer for lunch or becuase I need to temporarily go somewhere. So I hit stop and start tracking the same task again when I am back.

This makes multiple entries on the timesheet for the same task on the same day. Either there should be a pause option on the timer or there should be a "merge time on the same day for the same task" option so that a task only ever appears once on the timesheet for a given day.

I know you can manually delete timesheet items and edit the hours in them, but it's not as good as my two options in my opinion. :-)

I was just looking over the various projects on goplan and had a thought. I would like to have statuses on each project, viewable from my dashboard, that tell me what my status is on the project (for example "Waiting for client response to email on 3rd January"). This personal status would be set and only viewable by the project owner. Or there could be a global project "status" that gives a brief summary of where things stand that everyone can see.

I know I could use notes, but that requires delving into the project. I'd like to see a dashboard that provides more an overview of progress across projects, not just an update of recent activity.

Are you planning on keeping the Roadmap updated? I noticed it says "Last Updated" next to each section.

It says you took inspiration from Vimeo's roadmap (it is nice I agree), but theirs is a lot more comprehensive with images, videos, and a % complete status for each. This kind of info would be great and you'd get more feedback too.

I think this would be fantastic. ConceptShare is a very cool product, but doing something quite different from GoPlan. The two would complement one another very nicely. I would definitely use that feature.
