CD Ripping? Really? You mean to tell us, that the masses can't find a ton of other programs that will do CD Ripping so we need another? Sounds like liberal laws, "oh, we have this law, sure, but we need another, cause nobody likes the one we already have." That's progress? This is not progress. Come on.Yank the crap from your brains and start actually thinking for a change.
BonkENC, it's free, it's made portable, it works. Why do we need yet another CD Ripping program.

Portable Songbird with proper IPOD Podcast synchOne thing that is important that no other iTunes replacement achieves.
Proper podcast synching with ipod. they will throw them in the music folder which is ok atleast you can listen to them. But not one can synch them to the podcast directory of the ipod.
In order for Songbird to become a true iTunes replacement, it will need to achieve this feature flawlessly. As it works in iTunes. cause honestly, iTunes does do it properly, with catagorization in the right way. Take notes on how it works and make it work that way in Songbird.
Especially with podcast catching. It should not just drop to an open folder. But create a folder for that particular podcast stream. So I don't have to manually organize it.
Audio books also.
And make it portable, so that it can reside on a device. That way you can have a true portable music device. Plug in and synch or manage music wherever you are, wherever you go, that you can plug into a PC.
You want a true iTunes killer? Portable Songbird that synchs all catagories properly.
That's an iTunes Killer.
For the record, I know that there is a portable songbird available. But I think these guys could make it a native portable app, and streamline it as such.
