Jeremy Heckathorn replied on January 22, 2009 16:41 to the question "Would like to see this work." in Flypaper:
To publish to your own server you will need to save as and use the save type ‘Web Project’.
If you attempting to view your story from these file on your desktop or local and you can not get it to work you may have a Flash Permissions issue.
The best way to fix this is to run the procedure below on a "Test Folder", then use that folder as a staging area on all web stories. Just copy the files from inside the web story folder into the test folder.
1) Run the index.html
2) Right-click on the white screen and choose Settings. (the Adobe Flash Player settings dialog should appear)
3) At the bottom of the dialog, Select the second icon from the left (the screen with the eyeball)
4) The privacy settings come up. Click the Advanced button.
-or-
1-4) You can also access the Global Security Settings Panel via this link:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/doc...
5) On the left side click Global Security Settings Panel (3rd menu item from the top).
6) Click the Edit Locations list.
7) Select Add Location. A dialog with choices to Browse for files... or Browse for folder... appear.
8) Click Browse for folder... and find the folder with the Flypaper Story output, and click OK
9) The folder path appears in the bottom of the Settings Manager dialog with a green check under the heading: "Always trust files in these locations:"
10) Close the browser to apply these settings.
11) Run index.html again, and the content should appear.

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on January 09, 2009 21:43 to the problem "Embed broken. No popup occurs." in Flypaper:
I'm not certain how you obtained this link but it is incorrect and lacking the story id it needs to generate the embed code correctly.
This is the correct link to that story:

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 30, 2008 15:49 to the question "Adjust Page / Story Size?" in Flypaper:
Under the ‘View’ menu select ‘Project Properties’. On the right you will see a section called ‘Page Size’, this section provides you with several predefined options or you can select other and define your own size. There are also two additional options to ‘Scale Aspect Ratio’ and ‘View True Resolution’. The first will scale content to fit the defined embed size the second will keep the exact size centering or add scroll bars when need to accommodate the true size.

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 28, 2008 03:00 to the question "Run a story within a story" in Flypaper:
I’ll assume for now that you know how to place a Flypaper story on your own server by saving it as a ‘Web Story’. In order to have a link from one to the other, select one of the buttons from the button menu at the top. With the button selected, click the properties tab and then set the Action dropdown to ‘Hyperlink to’. You’ll want to check the ‘Relative path’ check box and then you will be able to enter the desired url. Naturally being relative it will not work in preview it will only work if it’s been uploaded into the correct location and the second story is also correctly in place.

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 18, 2008 16:48 to the problem "Weird behavior on screen when using caption bubble" in Flypaper:
This was a know issue that was resolved in version 1.0.5.5 as of the date of this post the latest version of Flypaper 1.0.6.5. You may need to update Flypaper. At the top of Flypaper under the help menu select ‘About Flypaper’, the version should be 1.0.6.5. If this is not the version you are running, I recommend upgrading. This can be done either by go to the ‘Help’ menu at the top and selecting ‘Check for Updates’ or by uninstalling any older versions of Flypaper and then download and install the latest version from www.flypaper.com .

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 16, 2008 22:47 to the question "How To Re-set Time in Points Markers" in Flypaper:
You can set the in point and out point for an audio element by selecting the audio on the Elements Tab and then clicking on the properties tab. Toward the bottom of the panel you will see a Time In tab and Time Out tab. You can then govern when the audio will play and for how long. However currently you cannot edit audio as you can video in Flypaper. This feature is on the roadmap for a future iteration however I do not know when it will be available.

Submit this one to support. That way I can take a closer look at the story and if there is a problem with your Flypaper re-install I can more easily diagnose the issue.

Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 13, 2008 15:45 to the problem "Protected Memory Problem" in Flypaper:
There are a few reasons this can occur. One of these is insufficient RAM. Our minimum is 1GB but we highly recommend 2GB of RAM or more for optimal operation of Flypaper. It is possible with only 1GB to over tax the RAM with a story or project that contain a lot of resource that are very large such very large video file and image files.
It is also rare but possible that there is a bad sector on your RAM. As Flypaper or any other application that uses a lot of RAM uses up your memory it may hit that bad sector and generate this error.
Jeremy Heckathorn replied on December 13, 2008 15:17 to the question "ArgumentError: Error #2015" in Flypaper:
Particularly large images can cause this bitmap error in the Flash Player. The exact limit depends on how the image is being used. For example the limit is lower if you are applying effects. Also it’s important to note that this is based on import size. If you re-size an image down in Fltypaper it still has the same impact as it did at full size. If you experiencing this issue and there are any images that happen to be very large I would suggest re-sizing them down a bit and re importing them. It’s always best from a stand point of file size and load speed to bring images in as close to the desires size as possible anyway as oppose to bringing them in and then re-sizing them down.
