Hi, Myke. That is not true at this time but it will be true shortly. If you do not log in for a while (just a few hours actually), then you will not be visible to other users. However your account will be there. In the near future, we will actually purge inactive accounts for privacy reasons and I'm sure there will be an announcement of the policy.

Hi, RCS. Previously, this thread was about an issue a month ago. However some users experienced a similar situation in the past day and a systematic sweep to correct accounts is underway now. As I said in another thread, you can either wait a few hours or email help@grindr.com with your device UDID (the free UDIDit app is helpful to deterine your UDID) and I will manually correct it. Thanks again for your feedback and patience.

sflguywpb and Mike,
Over the past few hours, we are seeing reports that a small percentage (still a noteworthy total number) of users are having issues logging in.
I want to know every user who has this issue. Once it is resolved, I will confirm that each and every account can chat. Would you please email help@grindrguy.com and say you are having the chat login issue. Please give us your UDID and say that whether you're using Grindr or GrindrX.
To all other users, please do the same so that we can be sure to confirm your account. This affects a small fraction of users however it is a noticeable and unwelcome blip on the radar.

Hi, Sam. I want to troubleshoot this issue for you. Would you please let me know your phone's UDID, which you can get from iTunes by plugging in the phone and selecting it in iTunes. Then click the words "Serial Number" and you will see a longer-looking UDID code. You can click Edit-Paste to get it at that point.
Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

Thanks, Richard. We have your location as 0 latitude, 0 longitude. I've seen this before and usually it means that the phone cannot determine its location. Would you please open the Google map application that comes with the phone (called just plain "Maps") and tell me whether it has an accurate position?
Thanks.

- Choose from the file menu Edit -> Copy
- Paste the device ID in the email (Edit -> Paste from the file menu on top of your screen)
