jiksoo.kim asked a question in Cloudera on November 10, 2009 06:10:
Running "grep" example in Cloudera Desktop using the JobDesignerWhen I used the following command,
hadoop jar /usr/lib/hadoop-0.20/hadoop-0.20.1+152-examples.jar grep /user/hadoop/input /user/hadoop/g_output 'king[a-z.]*'
it generates an output file contains the words starting with "king". However, when I launch a job having the same command and arguments with the JobDesigner, the output file becomes empty ! This does not happen in the "wordcount" example. If you have any idea about this, please let me know. Thanks a lot~!!

Even though I used the "--nodeps" option to install the Cloudera Desktop using RPM file, it consistently complains about the "VersionConflict: (setuptools 0.6c11 (/usr/share/cloudera-desktop/eggs/setuptools-0.6c11-py2.5.egg), Requirement.parse('setuptools==0.6c9')) . . ." error. Do you have any idea about this?
