Jim replied on November 14, 2009 18:17 to the problem "Audio is not playing in one of my clouds. What's gone wrong?" in AirSet:
Hi Christina,
Are the multimedia files all the same type ? Assuming you have permission in the cloud to view the files (which is sounds like you do), the only thing I can think is that the files you can play are one type, but the files you cannot play are a different type that your browser/computer is not set up to play correctly.
One way to isolate the problem would be to copy the non-working media files to the cloud where the files are working OK and try them there. If they don't work in that cloud, then it could be a problem with the file, or an incompatibility between the file-type and your browser set up.
If the file works fine in the other cloud, then I would suggest using our feedback mechanism to send us an email so that we can follow up in more detail. To send feedback, click the Start menu, then "Help and Support", then "Feedback".
Jim replied on November 14, 2009 18:08 to the problem "Re-occuring events in calendar not showing up from jan 1, 2010 forward" in AirSet:
Hi Nikki,
What view are you using to look for the events ? If you are using sub-calendars, for example, events may be filtered out if they don't match the criteria for the sub-calendar (by tag, or by person). Another thought: the Event List view has a start/end date, so the future events may occur past the end of the view period.
The best way to get to the bottom of this is probably to send us a feedback email so that we can look more closely at your account. To send feedback, click on the Start menu, then "Help and Support" -> "Feedback". We'll be happy to help.

A comment on the question "want website NOT to show up in search engines" in AirSet:
Most folks you create a website want their site to show up in Google search results - in fact people work hard to get their site to show up higher in the search results :-) ! To answer your question, the tool that Google uses (it is referred to as a "search bot") will eventually find the new name, though this can take some time - anywhere from days to weeks. – Jim, on October 21, 2009 17:46

Jim replied on October 19, 2009 20:36 to the problem "Problem configuring Desktop Sync" in AirSet:
Hi Tom,
I did a bit of research and found a few things to try.
I found one reference to a program called Stardock Objectdock that was causing problems with sync and Google Calendar. Turning off that 3rd party program seemed to help in some instances. If you happen to be running that program, you might try turning it off.
I read some other posts related to the same problem with Google Calendar Sync, and some folks found a workaround by closing Outlook when they want to sync.
Finally, a MS Knowlege Base article referred to an error 1008 being a file locking error, caused by some virus protection programs locking exchange-related log files. So, you might try turning off your virus protection to see if that is the cause.
Sorry I cannot be more specific, but we have not encountered this error previously so my suggestions are meant to try and narrow down the cause of the problem.
Let us know if you have any luck with trying any of those workarounds.
Jim replied on October 19, 2009 18:50 to the question "Can Airset work on Verizon's Samsung Rogue?" in AirSet:
We are currently working on supporting a number of the newer Verizon phones, and the Samsung Rogue is among them. Once we complete the coding it will be submitted to Verizon for testing, then it will be made available on the site.
So you are correct that it is not supported right now, but we are working on it !
The most up to date information about which phones are supported is avaliable in the More Tools area of AirSet. Log into AirSet and click on "More Tools" from the "Start" menu. When the dialog appears, click on "AirSet Mobile Info", which will bring up the mobile wizard. Under the "Available ?" section is a link labeled "see all phones that support AirSet". You can use that to find the exact models that are supported at Verizon.
If you find any incorrect or out of date information there, let us know !

Jim replied on October 13, 2009 17:13 to the problem "New User Error" in AirSet:
Hi Leighann,
I'm sorry to hear that you are still having this problem. We have been unable to reproduce that error since the site was updated with the fix.
To look at this more closely, we'll need some additional information. Please use the "Feedback" link at the bottom of our home page at www.airset.com to start the conversation.
Jim replied on October 13, 2009 15:58 to the question "Why is a name appearing in the reminder section of an event that we haven't included as a participant?" in AirSet:
Hi Marilyn,
Our calendar expert is back today, but he is similarly mystified by what you are seeing. If this is still a problem, send us some Feedback (click the Start menu, then "Help and Support", then "Feedback") so that we can start a conversation and get to the bottom of it. We may need to take a look at your account, so email is a better mechanism than this public forum.
Jim replied on October 08, 2009 17:02 to the question "Why can't I drag and drop between lists?" in AirSet:
Hi Bryan,
The List application is due for an update, and drag/drop is in the queue as one of the improvements. We will hopefully get to this later in the year.
In the meantime, you can double-click on a list item to edit it. One of the fields that you can change is what list it belongs to. Click that and a menu will appear with the names of your other lists.
Jim replied on October 07, 2009 18:21 to the question "Link Scanned Documents??" in AirSet:
To make sure I understand what you are trying to do: you want to upload some documents that you have scanned (these would be some type of graphic or PDF file) and then create a series of web links to these files ?
If that is correct, then you can accomplish that by doing the following:
- upload the files to AirSet
- create a web document where you want to store the links
- when you create the link, choose the appropriate file in the Edit Link dialog
Here is a picture of the Edit Link dialog, with the appropriate option selected. If I have misunderstood your request, let me know.
Jim replied on October 07, 2009 18:03 to the question "Why is a name appearing in the reminder section of an event that we haven't included as a participant?" in AirSet:
Hi Marilyn,
I've been trying to reproduce this situation myself, with no success ! I'm a bit baffled as to how this can happen...
Our Calendar expert is out for a few days, but I have sent him an email to see if he has any ideas. Once he gets back to me, I will post any suggestions he may have.
In the meantime, if you can ask Terri if she has modified the event in any way (shared it to another group for example), let us know. Maybe that will provide some clues to the mystery....
Jim replied on September 10, 2009 15:53 to the question "Hey, Mr. Google Bot! Look! See!" in AirSet:
Hi,
Your page should eventually show up in Google search results, though it can take some weeks for their search bot to find the page. Make sure the page is marked "public" in WebPublish.
If it has been more than a few weeks and you are still concerned that your page is not being scanned, let us know your site name (through feedback email or here) and we can take a look at it.
Jim replied on September 01, 2009 16:23 to the problem "I can't access the the cloud computers" in AirSet:
It sounds like you may have created a second account. We can fix this, but you will have to send us a feedback email with your email address so that we can find your account.
There is a feedback link at the bottom of the AirSet home page at www.airset.com. Or, you can sign in and click the Start menu, then choose "Help and Support" -> "Feedback".

A comment on the problem "Why does Airset allow me to enter an event - and then say "you must be logged in"" in AirSet:
Thanks for the additional detail, Robert. Your login session is generally good for a couple of days. After that you are logged out.
My advice (absent the fix we talked about) would be that if you come back to the browser and it has been more than a day, hit the browser refresh button before you start interacting with AirSet. If you have been logged out, then you will be prompted then to log in again. – Jim, on August 28, 2009 22:26
Jim replied on August 28, 2009 22:02 to the problem "Why does Airset allow me to enter an event - and then say "you must be logged in"" in AirSet:
Robert,
Sorry about the frustration - I agree that would be very annoying. Is this happening all the time (each time you try to enter an event) or was it just the once ?
Either way, I will let the Calendar engineer know about the problem and see if there is a better way to handle that situation, like checking your login status before you enter all your data.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention, and let us know if this is not an isolated event. If it is happening often then we'll work to figure out why you are getting logged out.
