Jim G replied on December 06, 2009 03:24 to the question "RPM is not collecting data, Does it work on Passenger 2.2.5?" in New Relic:
Hi apraditya - we'd be more than happy to help you out. Please send an email to support@newrelic.com and someone will respond on Monday. Send along the "newrelic_agent.log" file in your "log" directory.
At first blush I see no reason why our agent would not work with passenger 2.2.5 but I'm not sure we've tested it yet.
Kind Regards,
Jim

Hello,
We are unable to reproduce this issue. If you could send an email to support@newrelic.com with your account information we will investigate this right away.

Jim G replied on April 23, 2009 14:37 to the question "How does RPM handle instances of a single app running on passenger?" in New Relic:
It sounds like you might be running into a bug. The instance count on the dashboard should show the number of instances you have running and the memory graph should be accurate. Can you send an email to support@newrelic.com with your account name and we'll investigate further.
Thanks,
Jim
A comment on the idea "Mac System Bar Status App" in New Relic:
Hi David,
Do you mind reporting this problem to support@newrelic.com? We did have one problem with x-license-key being overridden by http authentication and that should be fixed now. We'd like to know if we've got other problems as well.
Thanks!

Your account should be much faster now. We discovered a dropped index for all of our accounts just about the time you reported the problem on Get Satisfaction. It took a few days to rebuild the index (we collect a lot of data) but we're done now. As an FYI - some pages access more data than others and will be slower. However, the page response times you were seeing were unacceptable.

Jim G replied on February 13, 2009 20:48 to the question "Is it normal for mongrel to never release memory?" in New Relic:
Hi Mike,
If it's any consolation the same thing happens to us and many of the apps we manage. The big question is what the magnitude of the leak is. We see very slow leaking once a mongrel "warms up" and have put our mongrels on a 4 hour restart cycle. We were concerned that our agent was causing the leak but after repeated stress testing with/without our agent we saw the same behavior.

Hi Mike,
You should see:
Transaction tracing is enabled in agent config
Since you don't, it looks to me like the transaction tracer feature is not enabled. It might be a simple typo problem in the newrelic.yml. Can you email us a copy of your newrelic.yml file? Email to support@newrelic.com.
Sorry this is causing so much trouble. We'll get it sorted out!

A comment on the question "Possible to have one paid host and one free host?" in New Relic:
Hi Stephen,
Glad to hear this will work for you. And while we don't have a combined view yet, you're right that you could build one with the API. Thanks!

Jim G replied on January 25, 2009 15:46 to the question "Possible to have one paid host and one free host?" in New Relic:
Hi Stephen,
I think we have some good news for you. We do allow your solution #2. Here's how it would work. Create an account for each of your clients with them as the primary account admin. They pick the subscription level. Then, have them add you to their account with admin permissions. Your primary account won't change, however now you'll have access to that account as well as your own. Once you have access to more than one account you'll notice a "Switch Account" link at the top of all pages. There is no limit to the number of accounts you can have access to.
Will this work for you?
