I too use Xobni and find it works really well.

I know this doesn't answer your problem completely, but you don't have to re-install it: I have this problem too, but all you need to do is go to Tools\Trust Center\Add-ins then click on the Go button at the bottom (the window to the left of the button should say COM Add-ins). RE-check the Linked In check box and exit.
This is a pain, but less so than re-installing!
