Jim Frisk shared an idea in Usabilla on October 26, 2009 12:42:
Disable "Next >" button in taskbar on On-Click-TasksI would like to suggest removing the "Next >" button when asking the user to perform a on-click-task. Asking the user to perform a on-click-task while displaying a "Next" button next to the task is confusing since you're not supposed to be able to continue without clicking somewhere on the page.
Jim Frisk replied on October 26, 2009 10:21 to the problem "Wrong translation of the "Next" button in Swedish translation" in Usabilla:
A more suitable translation would be "Nästa" which is the literal translation of "Next"
Alternatively these translations could be relevant in this context:
- "Avsluta" which means "Finish"
- "Gå vidare" which is a common Swedish translation of "Continue" or "Next step"
Thanks for the quick response!

Wrong translation of the "Next" button in Swedish translationThere is an error in the Swedish translation of the Usabilla Thank You page. The "Next" button is translated into "Skicka", which means "Send" in Swedish. This is potentially very confusing for users since the default thank you text informs them that the results of their participation has already been sent.-

A comment on the problem "On the 'About' tab, the avatar/icon for companies/products do not appear." in Satisfaction Remote:
You should try to fix this pretty soon since the app appears to be broken at the moment. I don't think it's possible but considering its current state, I'd ask for a refund on purchase. Very dissapointed! – Jim Frisk, on September 07, 2009 20:16

Is it possible to fool the iPhone app to think that it's on wifi when it's not?
I have the same problem as everyone else on this thread and all the other proxy error threads. But in my experience, I can sometimes trigger the iPhone app to log in to Spotify and start caching offline playlists even though the access point blocks all the essential ports. It's damn slow though and after a while though it stops downloading. I haven't been able to pin point if I'm using the 3G connection on my iPhone or if the wifi connection actually works for short periods of time, but it somehow works.
Any thoughts? – Jim Frisk, on September 07, 2009 15:18
A comment on the problem ""Login failed" when using the iPhone app over wifi" in Spotify:
I have to agree with Brian. I have no problems using the dekstop app on either of the wifi networks at work, though scrobbling doesn't work on one of them.
Does the error occur because the iPhone app is not able to auto-detect the proxy settings? – Jim Frisk, on September 07, 2009 07:13
Jim Frisk reported a problem in Spotify on September 07, 2009 05:20:
"Login failed" when using the iPhone app over wifiI'm experiencing problems with the new iPhone app (thnx for a great app, btw!) when logging in over wifi. It works fine over 3G and even Edge, but starting the app while connected to the open wifi at work, this happens:
- During startup the app briefly show the "Playlist" screen but without any content
- After a few seconds the login screen comes up (with no saved login information *grr*)
- I enter my username and password, hit OK and watch the "Logging in..." screen for a while until this message finally appears:
Login failed
Could not establish a connection to the Spotify service. Is the network connection working? - Hitting OK takes me back to the login screen
The problem is probably caused by the wifi network I'm using, there's little doubt about that. It's a wifi at work but it's our "guest" wifi, so it's open in the sense that there are no limitations on where to go or what to download (no firewall - officially). What's puzzling is that the desktop client works beautifully with that particular network. Even scrobbling works.
Please let me (and Spotify) know if you're experiencing the same thing. Being able to cache those offline playlists using a wifi network will save precious KB of cellular data...
A comment on the problem "Scrobbling to last.fm does not work behind a proxy" in Spotify:
Pete, as I understand, the problem for most people following this thread isn't that they are having problems configuring the proxy settings. The problem is that despite being able to log in and listening to music behind a proxy, scrobbling to Last.fm doesn't work. And even though this issue has been identified for at least 8 months, no fix has been issued. So, Spotify, what's the status? Scrobbling is a niche feature for a small segment of users and now that segment is getting pissed off. – Jim Frisk, on August 24, 2009 06:58-
