SMS Reference Guide, update languageI got a little confused in your SMS documentation and had to spend some time really thinking it through.
http://brightkite.com/help/sms_reference
Your refer to location, place, and placemark independently but I think they mean the same thing.
in "Checking In", you refer to Location
in "Posting", you refer to Place
in "Places", you refer to Place
Please can you update these topics to use the same vernacular or at least define them? I recommend calling them all Location and Locations, leaving Placemarking as the specific task of adding a mark to a Location.

JimGoode replied on June 09, 2009 03:34 to the idea "Stripping of hashtags to certain services" in Ping.fm:
PROBLEM: hash tags are getting stripped from Brightkite posts via email group posting to a micro-blog, direct m.ping.fm posting to @bk, and I am sure others. BrightKite updates Twitter for me for micro-blog updates that I cannot send to Twitter directly.
from documentation: "Sites that don't support hashtagging or generic tags will receive the message as-is."

JimGoode reported a problem in Schwenk Consulting on June 08, 2009 17:01:
Pearl 8130: application never loads after install and verify of mobile key1.
After entering the ping.fm mobile key successfully, the key was verified but the application failed to load.
2.
Upon re-trying with a new application key, I received the following error:
"You User Application Key could not be validated (APP_KEY: Mobile key not found.)"

BlackPing Preferences optionsI highly recommend that there is a "save" option in the BlackPing Preferences section for setting the application key. I could not figure out how to authenticate/save my key for validation.
I finally figured out that the back key did it. Not enter or 'right-click'+Save.
Thanks for listening.
