Because of some limitations in IE 6, you must have your cookies set-up as instructed. This will allow you to use the Single Sign on capabilities of Safe Places in IE 6. This will have no effect on other site and how they handle cookies.

you can add mobileMe to your safe places, by going to the 'go Menu', clicking add/remove, from there select MobileMe, and save, you will then see MobileMe available as one of your safe places, once you enter your MobileMe username & password, you can then use goEveryware to log you in to your MobileMe account

The next release that should be out sometime this week, has a session restore feature built in, so you can easily restore the last state of your workspace. This is a little bit different but it lays the ground work for you suggestion.

currently the start menu is just a mirror of your desktop icons, we have not done too much work on the start menu to this point. I would be interested to get the communities ideas and options on what/how the start menu should work?
