Well as far as importing 3d object, I agree. However, I still disagree with the idea of changing terrain. Sure it might be a good idea to give it a planet-like shape, but I think BumpTop's aim was to balance between efficiency and simplicity.

I fixed my problem. I deleted the themes file completely then reinstalled BumpTop then it worked.

I have the same problem. The notification for the update shows up, I press "Yes" then the installer says "preparing to install..." and then it closes along with BumpTop. I narrowed down the problem and it seems that the setup isn't properly installed or cannot connect to the server.

Cannot Parse Theme Properties File

When I turn on Bumptop, a message pops up saying "Could not parse your Theme Properties file." When I click "OK" another message pops up saying:
" Could not load your BumpTop Theme.
Could not parse your theme properties file:
*Line 1, Column 1
Syntax error: value, object or array expected."

I tried reinstalling but it didn't work.
Please help once you see this.

Hey not fair! I used to have CubeDesktop and when I got BumpTop they wouldn't go with each other so i had to uninstall CubeDesktop.

That sounds like a great idea! Although it might be a bit too harsh on the CPU. An average graphics card would just barely handle 2 bumptops so I doubt that this feature will be added. An alternative would be separate "cubicles" in the room, each with its own function. One would be for USB drives, another for inbox mail (I worked on 3d icon support for this if you want to see it), and maybe one more for a recycle bin (also worked on 3d icon support for this).

1. No Undo feature for icon location or saved positions so if you accidentally make a mess out of the icons you have to manually fix it.
2. Icons stuck in piles.

Yeah but when you want to pull out the paper it will tear, and when you remove the staple the paper will have holes in it.

I think BumpTop should just use this pin or a blue version of it and use it as default. You don't really need to customize it more than using a red or blue push pin.

Why would you make an animation? I thought it would be used as a 3d model. I wouldn't mind if you did an animation though. Anyway I did this with 3D Studio Max 2008.
