A 3D Mailbox (BumpMail)Well Shikhar mentioned the idea about the 3D recycle bin, and I want to push the idea further. Why not have other 3d objects? Let's say something like a mailbox. Although it might be hard to program it, but imagine a mailbox that spits out your new mail as objects into bumptop. I already made a 3D model to make things clearer.
You can see the mailbox and the pile of e-mails on it. I tried to keep it with the least amount of polygons as possible. Other forms can be used, like the small opening in the door where the mail comes in, or the type of mailboxes that can be hanged on the wall.
Any comments?

Well thanks for your ideas Nyxin. I like the one about user submission. However, it might be much easier if BT saves the weather onto one small file in your computer. It would still require association with a weather service provider, but if the file automatically updates from the website every time you are connected to the internet. Maybe once the data expires, a small message pops up indicating that you should update your weather file.

Great idea! But I was wondering how it is possible to do that. This means that Bumptop will have to work with a weather service provider to get the weather. Also, people usually view the weather that's still a few hours or days away. In other words, someone should find a way to make future forecasting on the 3d desktop possible. I suggest adding a clock specifically for weather over the window, then adjusting it depending on the time for the weather that you wish to find out.
