Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate the input. We're definitely working on additional products for both the Gorillapod and the new Gorillatorch line, so stay tuned for additional features and improvements. We'll certainly take your feedback into consideration as we plan our future products.
Thanks!

That depends somewhat on where in Africa do you live. Where are you located? – Peter, on November 12, 2009 05:02

A comment on the question "will this work with the stand-alone iSight webcam?" in Joby:
If you have the original stands that come with the iSight, you should be able to attach one of them to the adhesive clips of the Gorillamobile. If I recall, there are three stands that come with the iSight - a magnetic one, a flat stand with adhesive, and one designed for the top of laptop screens. Attaching any of these to the adhesive clip of the Gorillamobile should work. Of course, you could also attach the adhesive clip directly to the back of the iSight. The clips should be strong enough to hold the iSight. – Peter, on November 09, 2009 18:20

Peter replied on November 06, 2009 01:00 to the question "Quick Release is stuck" in Joby:
I'm sorry you've been having problems with the quick release. Have you made sure that the small lock ring below the quick release is set to the unlocked position? See the animation below:

(note the small rotating lock ring below the quick-release clip.)
Be sure that the arrow on the lock ring is aligned with the open lock icon. Then try depressing the Joby button and removing the quick release.
If that still fails to work, you can contact us for further troubleshooting via email ( info@joby.com ) or phone +1.888.569.5629. We can also replace your Gorillapod if it becomes unusable.
Thanks for your purchase. Please let us know if we can be of additional service.

Peter replied on November 06, 2009 00:55 to the problem "My Gorilla Pod Focus has Loose Joints" in Joby:
Hi David,
I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the Focus. If I'm understanding your description properly, it sounds like if you leave the Focus in a certain position for a while, the legs "set" into place a bit. This could happen if the Gorillapod experiences temperature changes, since the aluminum and plastic expand and contract at different rates.
If you find that for some reason your Focus haas become unusable, we'll be happy to replace it. You can email us at info@joby.com to initiate the exchange process if necessary.
Thanks for your purchase.

Peter replied on November 05, 2009 01:07 to the question "Joby BallHead Question" in Joby:
Thanks for your interest in our Gorillapods. The quick-release portion of our ballhead is not removable - it's affixed permanently to the main part of the ballhead. The thread on the quick-release plate (the part that screws into your camera) is 1/4"-20, but it comes with a 3/8" adapter as well.
You might be interested to know that we are in fact working on a quick-release solution like the one you describe. When complete, it will work with a wide variety of ballheads, tripods and other devices. It's due out in early 2010.
Thanks again for your interest, and please let us know if we can be of additional service.

Of course if you want to be super safe you can definitely purchase the Gorillapod SLR instead of the Original model. And if you end up ordering the wrong one, we'll be happy to exchange it.

Peter replied on October 23, 2009 06:45 to the question "will this work with the stand-alone iSight webcam?" in Joby:
Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your interest in our Gorillapods and Gorillamobiles. As I recall, the iSight camera does not have a tripod screw adapter, but you can still use it with our products.
The best product for you is either the Gorillamobile or the Gorillamobile 3G. They both come with removable adhesive clips that you can use with the iSight.
The only difference between the two models is that the Gorillamobile 3G comes with an iPhone case for 3G or 3GS iPhones, whereas the original model comes with a suction cup. Both come with a camera adapter.
I hope this answers your question. If not, let us know and we'll be happy to help further.
Thanks!
Peter set one of Peter's replies as an official response to "No LED- ever hear of quality control?" in Joby
Peter replied on October 22, 2009 23:45 to the problem "No LED- ever hear of quality control?" in Joby:
Hi Thom & Brenda,
I'm sorry you're having difficulty with the Gorillatorch. I can assure you, however, that our torches all have LEDs. They are very powerful, but also much smaller and more durable than traditional bulbs. It might not look like anything's there, but the LED should be the tiny yellow square in the center of the reflector. If your light isn't working something else is likely the culprit.
For starters, please make sure the batteries all have a good charge and that they've been installed in the correct direction. They should all have the positive end facing outwards like so:

Also, be sure that the battery cap is on tight. The cap has a snug fit, so you have to turn it very firmly to make sure it locks into closed position. If it's not on very tight the battery terminals might not make contact.
If those tips don't solve the problem, we'd be happy to help troubleshoot further or replace your Gorillatorch with a functioning unit.
From your post it sounds like you've received two Gorillatorches already, but I can't find any record of a customer with your last name in our system. May I ask where you purchased your Gorillatorch?
If you'd like to initiate a replacement or if you have any questions about how to use the Gorillatorch, please send us an email to info@joby.com and we'll do whatever we can to make things right.
Thanks for your patience.
