As a very simple workaround you can use 1 folder in Wuala and set it as sync destination/source on both computers using your favorite sync tool (rsync, synctoy, etc.)

Make sure that the cache is a least the size of the backup.
Also the network drive is not so stable in combination with many small files so you can upload via drag&drop or sync with rsync (and retry on errors) – joe12, on October 16, 2009 22:36

Hi Bernd,
I noticed all through Wuala that the team tries to create a new interface with many functions but it lacks usability.
E.g. in this case you have no indication which direction sorting currently is. I recommend a separate menu entry in the right-click menu which has a divider and below it says "Reverse order" and has a checkmark (or not) for indication of reverse order.
Also it would be great if this setting is stored e.g. between world searches.
For the default setting it would be nice to have a control in Wuala options because most people simply want to sort by name (also in the - I hope to see soon - file list view)

It works (win 247), but usability = 0

Also: Do a world search, sort by size, reverse sort by size, then do another world search -> search order not remembered

I don't like the long silences of the Wuala team.
I prefer smaller intervals especially for bug fixes because if there is only one release once every 1-2 months it is very hard to find out what has been fixed/has changed. – joe12, on October 11, 2009 11:21

Downloading a file

Hello,
Today I tried to download a file (1 GB) and here is what happened

1) full speed (~1,5 MB/s) :-)
2) at 99% speed suddenly dropped and ETA went up
3) after 20min staying like that -> Error: Download failed :-(
4) after 2 more tries -> download successful

I hope this was just a unique error and I will try again in a few days with another file on another computer. I cannot image how long it would take in case of a real data loss where I need to download more than 1 file from the system.
