A comment on the problem "Check-In Error on Android" in foursquare:
Update: it seems that the "random" fake telephone number I used for my account caused this problem.
After I updated my account with my real phone number, checking-in appeared to work.
So you may check that you have the correct phone number on your account settings, or at least a valid number scheme for your country.

joe reported a problem in foursquare on October 06, 2009 09:14:
unable to check in via mobile siteWhen I checkin to an existing venue using the mobile website, it looks like the form was successfully posted, but no checkin appears on my profile and no Twitter post is sent (I keep the send tweet checkbox checked).
I noticed that the following form data is posted to /checkin
security_token=20...c2a37&venue=De+Rode+Hoed&shout=&privacy=0&twitter=1
Tested in both Firefox 3.5.3 and the Android mobile browser (webkit).
I didn't see similar complaints from other users, could it be a problem with my account?

joe asked a question in Rogue Amoeba on March 27, 2009 20:33:
airfoil for android?Maybe a crazy idea, but are you working on a version for Android, specifically the T-Mobile G1 phone?
I would really love it to just use my phone instead of booting up the imac or getting the macbook out of its sleeve to listen to last.fm and friends!

encoding errors in soundHi,
Most of this album (Leaving Sparks, Caesar) appears to contain some kind of encoding errors, which sound like nasty glitches every now and then. Restarting Spotify didn't help...

On Mac OSX the default is Alt-Space.
You can also enter about:ubiquity in the location bar to change the default shortcut if you like.

joe replied on March 01, 2009 21:18 to the question "how can i set the default browser for wakoopa?" in Wakoopa:
Cool, now I see where the problem was coming from: I renamed firefox versiosn to firefox-2.app and firefox-3.app, firefox-3.1.app and so on to easily identify which version I'm using for testing. Guess what, the version under parallels is still just named "Firefox.exe". Annoying indeed.
When will the fixed version be released? For now I just stopped tracking web apps...-

joe replied on January 30, 2009 10:45 to the update "Twones tracker for newest Firefox versions ready for beta testing" in Twones:
As of now it's part of the default tracker distribution, see http://blog.twones.com/2009/01/twones...
Note: new features work only with latest Firefox release, you are strongly encouraged to upgrade Firefox regularly (also for security's sake)!
Oh, and the link to the beta version is now dead, please follow the blog instructions instead (this will automatically select the appropriate version for your Firefox version).
