Well, well. It's about time you showed up to your own party, 4 months later.
"Please note that this website was set up primarily to gather feedback, and will not always feature a lot of active participation from Nike or its employees."
Are you kidding me?? Well let me orient you a little bit, since you're new here. A lot of people have spent a lot of time generating and refining very creative improvements, and have become pretty turned off by your disregard of their efforts. You guys have generated a load of ill will toward your company with your silence. I know that because I've been reading the posts. Whoever is running your feedback program needs a staff psychologist to school you in consumer engagement. You think you're going to get the best feedback you can without steering the dialogue and rewarding your contributors with a little thanks and attention?
For god's sake, there are some fantastic ideas in here that are going to vastly improve your product, and you kiss the community off by saying you won't be participating?
What a joke.
Personally, I stopped evangelizing for the nike+ system a long time ago. My brother is going to be buying a Garmin. Had you engaged sooner and given the community some inkling that you were listening, I would have remained excited for the future of the system and badgered him into getting the Nike+. Now, I regretfully take grim pleasure in the idea of you discovering how much good will and excitement you've squandered. Good luck digging yourself out of the hole...

Great ideas for improved spoken feedback...
So far we have:
New workout type - 'Pace'. Voice either reports pace at regular intervals, prompts you to speed up to maintain target pace, or guides you through a workout of variable speeds.
Adjustable voice feedback intervals (in either time or distance)
Both average and instantaneous pace reported
Option to speed up spoken voice
Good stuff so far, Messrs. Airey, Nott, Morrow & Goatlips!!

Stefan, did you know that you get voice feedback every mile if you run on 'Distance' workout type? But you probably mean that you want the other info, too, inaddition to just distance? I second that.

A bunch of us are throwing around ideas like this one. I'm trying to get us all in the same place so the idea gets noticed!

I'll add my vote for this idea.
Guys, check out the thread called: "Pace" workout type, voice feedback.
We've started throwing around ideas about different ways the voice feedback could be more useful, including the idea you mention here. Give that topic a vote if you like it so it gets noticed even more.
Seems like the most useful thing would be for Nike to simply allow the user to specify their desired voice feedback interval.

I really think this has got to be part of the first upgrade to the Nike+ app. Not only would it help you keep a steady pace, but it would be a fantastic way to integrate coaching functions into your run. Similar to programming a treadmill console at the start of your workout, you could select or design your desired pace profile for the run. The voice would pop in from time to time, nagging you when you're not hitting your target pace, or telling you to adjust your pace for the next interval. After the fact, you could send your custom workout to your friends and challenge them to keep up with you or beat your time.
THIS is the kind of interactivity that would really start to make this system cool.
(Although the cynical side of me wonders whether Nike will resist this functionality in order to keep selling their $15-a-pop Serena Williams workouts on iTunes)

I've selected a half-dozen topics that I'm interested in, but I've forgotten what some of them are. At present, my only recourse is to scan through the pages and pages of entries on my dashboard, which is wholly inefficient. This page should be retitled 'Activity Log', but the actual dashboard should simply be a list of which topics you're following.
What would make the dashboard (and the entire feedback website) *vastly* more useful is if each of one's selected topics also displayed links to threads on similar topics. Ideally, staff behind the scenes would review similar threads and merge them. Until that happens, a topics's true popularity can never be gauged, since there can be several threads on the same topic, distributing all the 'votes'. (For example, I've just created this somewhat redundant thread since the similar thread was last active 7 months ago, and I can't be sure it'll get read! Please merge my new thread out of existence!!! :) )
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Dashboard redesign to improve thread tracking.

Good luck finding someone who cares these days if you try to call a company with a question or problem with their product or service.
But if you have a concern, chances are you're not alone - in fact, your question may already be answered at Get Satisfaction. Get Satisfaction is a way to organize and sort through the hundreds of conversations between companies and customers that are already happening online. If your concern isn't already resolved, you just type up what's on your mind. If enough other customers have the same issue, it will be brought to the company's attention - and you'll actually have a prayer of getting a response from a real, live person!
