Just checking in again. If you are using a 2.0 wiki and have "CSS & JavaScript" in your "Settings" page, then, in theory, this should be possible to add. Let me know if you'd like me to see if we can get this working for you. – Joel Franusic, on August 21, 2008 00:48
A comment on the question "Best Practice for setting up a Classroom Account?" in PBwiki:
Neat! Speaking from personal experience, another thing I wish I had known when I was younger is that everything you say (even under a pen name!) is kept online forever, sort of like how the personal letters of famous figures eventually get published. Which is to say, one should always watch what they say online! -- While we are on this topic, I should also mention that the research that danah boyd has done on social networks and "the youth" online is FANTASTIC: http://www.danah.org/ – Joel Franusic, on August 21, 2008 00:26

A comment on the idea "I'm a teacher. How can I get my students logged into a wiki when they don't have e-mail addresses?" in PBwiki:
Good question Irine! We use Gmail as an example because they are one of the few providers that we know allow you to use the plus symbol. Wikipedia lists a few other providers that support this sort of notation: http://tinyurl.com/oydrx
Beyond that, I suggest that you simply test with the providers that you are wondering about! – Joel Franusic, on August 01, 2008 23:07-

A comment on the discussion "AUP What do you think?" in PBwiki:
Sheri, I obsessively read every paper contract I come across. These documents are nearly always written in very dry and impersonal language, the sole purpose being to mitigate legal liability.
I really like you idea of having the TOS/AUP be a "first start"!
You might even want to try using your TOS/AUP as an introduction to the wiki concept of "everybody can edit". Discuss the provisions of the document, if something isn't clear, have the students rewrite that section! – Joel Franusic, on July 30, 2008 22:17
