Jeff, you should be able to see your test page by clicking on "Show all pages" on your wiki at the bottom of the page. You can link it to the front page by editing the front page and adding a link to your test page (Click on the Edit link, then click on the "Link" button, then select your test page from the drop down menu)-

Laurie, I maintained a wiki at my previous job. I can personally attest that a wiki is a fantastic way to share company knowledge, particularly institutional or obscure knowledge that rarely makes it to paper.
The hard part for me was to get people in my company to actually use the wiki. However once that happened, the wiki became the first place I would go to find answers.
