A comment on the problem "Reauthenticate Facebook" in SocialThing:

I responded to this on this thread:

The changes facebook made for new.facebook.com have taken away the capabilities we had with the old facebook. facebook connect should fix those problems, but it won't be out for a few more days, at least. We have code ready to deploy for facebook connect whenever they go live with it.

We retested the code today and are ready to deploy as soon as facebook makes the change.

I'm seeing the same problem. I've tried removing and re-adding Facebook as well as removing and re-adding Socialthing on Facebook's 'external websites' bit. Still no luck - it seems to update once and then needs reauthing.

Uploading photos these days is completely useless for many people, myself included. There could be a "import photo from flickr" feature, or any other photo hosting service, there could even be the option of BK updating the photo's geotag

Ok, all my old plurk posts, and new ones, just popped back in to my lifestream. However none of my friend's plurks are visible.

I've tried removing Plurk and adding it again (solved the old problem with Facebook) but it hasn't fixed Plurk.

Plurk stopped working. My updates are no longer showing up, but everything's fine according to the settings panel.

Why do Facebook updates only appear after the lifestream has been open for a couple minutes? Then I have to refresh for those updates to snap in to the right chronological order. Why aren't the updates present in the stream when I load the page, like recent Twitter and Plurk updates? This behavior is inconsistent and slightly annoying. I like to load up the page, take a quick look, then close it to go do something else or leave my desk. I would prefer the updates to be there already. Right now it's faster to load Facebook separately, check both tabs, and close both. I like SocialThing's goal of streamlining social networking, however it only seems to work if I want to stay chained to an open browser all day.
