John replied on June 24, 2009 19:22 to the problem "new fees and costs for zocku" in SocialGO:
It's not that simple. The number of active members is probably much less than 9000. If he decided to charge even 2 dollars per year, a very small percentage would pay for such a buggy and dysfunctional social network. Not to mention the lack of standard features. With this small percentage, the network would become inactive and even more unattractive.
The model that could work is to allow free members to use the network and charge members to access certain areas. The premium subscriber model. But socialgo/zocku doesn't have this functionality.
John replied on June 21, 2009 23:14 to the problem "Lots os Members not receiving "Message all Members"?!" in SocialGO:
All social networks are opt out and not opt in. Sorry, but you guys need a better lawyer. If you ever consulted one.
I sent an important message to all members a few days ago, and a lot of members complained that they were not notified by email. Most of the members who were complaining, registered befere the need of verification to receive emails. Either, the emails went to the spam folder or the emails weren't sent.
I think the emails weren't sent. I think Socialgo/Zocku is sending emails to only a small percentage of our members. I think they are just unable to sent email to all members.
These email problems is also affecting invites and notifications which are very important to grow traffic. Many members are complaining that they are not receiving their notifications.
