Thanks sg for the information. I have been able to work around the problem by using AutoHotKey. I have a script which starts Miro at 11pm and then another script which closes Miro at 4am. Both scripts are running through windows schedule tasks. It is not perfect but over the last couple of nights it seems to run ok.

Nope. There's a long standing feature request in the bug tracker but nobody's currently actively working on bringing this functionality to all those less fortunate Miro users.

Anyhow, this is not really an issue, especially for most people in the US, where Miro's decision makers live, so I'd personally assume this will take quite some time to even land on their priorities list if ever, since they'll never run into nasty data cap problems and realize how important this is for some people that aren't as well-connected...

yep - can't seem to get the IM linked up, even though it's "turned on"

Yeah-I just discovered some new spam followers. None too pleased that the setting to send mail when I'm being followed didn't happen with these losers. NOT cool. I've now checked the box that protects my updates from being seen by unapproved followers. More of this and I cut Twitter loose-no internet stalkers/tools allowed.

yep, just cleared out my daily list of spammer followers. Any chance twitter will catch and block|kill|maim these bozos when they mass-follow people?
