And why not use the EQ in the soundcards drivers instead?!

You need to LEARN TO READ.

"Spotify was started with administrative rights. Please start Spotify manually to run it as the normal user account"

This is because the installer (must) runs with administrative rights in vista. But the client must be started with a normal user privileges (to get the right appdata and so on i guess).

When you start Spotify from the icon, without any elevation, it works on vista x64 as with other windows verisons.

uhm... In my spotify settings i can choose to use max 1GB. So what's the problem then? You can also choose what folder to store the cache in.

The cache is used so you don't have to stream songs you listen to often all the time.

Are the tracks stored in a lossy format, or are they stored in a lossless format, and the magic is happening on the streaming servers?

I mean... do you have the posibility to just adjust the bitrate on the whole library if you want to (in the future for instance), or do you have to reencode every track?

Well. I think it's more realistic to hope for the posibillity to buy lossless tracks. But Premium users should get some benefit of better quality anyway i think.

A "kiosk mode" could also be a good idea. So the party guests can't use anything else than spotify...

But what's really great is that partyguest can out on their own music without downloading plenty of mp3's you don't want on your drive throughout the evening.
