    Replying to messages totally sux.
    replying to messages is hard!

When i click to reply, it opens a box over the old message. I always refer to someones message when drafting a reply. I like not having a page refresh... but i hate that i can't see the old message. i also don't like the fact that "replies" aren't grouped with the original message. Being able to see just my outgoing messages is good, but I'd like to see messages "in context", so i can read a whole "conversation" in one go. (this could also serve as a reminder that i've replied to a message).

    single sign-on for feedback!
i hate. hate. hate having multiple logins for a single service.

I'm sure this whole "getsatisfaction" helps a bunch since you didn't have to develop it.

(Even if their chunky "1,2,3,4" was confusing at first since they didn't visually group the content under each number. and the question / idea / problem tabs i definitely didn't notice at first).

But. Is there no way to allow a single sign on? Please? It's already too late, i made an account on getsatisfaction, but that doesn't mean i have to be happy about it!

Profile picture should link to profile
not a huge problem, but it's a really quick fix:

you have a cta to "view profile" in the left rail. It's a *tiny* little link. A user's photo and the username itself should both link to their profile.

Brightkite : browse by location tags
    Have you thought about tagging?

Since brightkite is all about location... and there are only so many "kinds of locations", it'd be neat if you could tag by location type, and then browse in an area, only looking at locations that are tagged. This starts getting a little "yelp"ish, which you may not want. But i think this kind of grassroots "virtual message board" lends itself to reviews of places. You maybe could also get a database list (or some kind of spider) to crawl through digital yellow pages and automatically tag places....

Honestly not sure if it'd be really useful, but i think it'd be an interesting way of browsing this content, which leads to page views, right?:)

I think the whole brightkite idea revolves around creating virtual communities around physical spaces...

i think it's hard to have a community without being able to ask "was that restaurant good? i've really wanted to check it out!", or being able to say "I used to work here! Have you noticed that you can see times square if you stand at the end of the west balcony??"
