Looks nice. I've been leaving comments for people, but they seemed to just sit there.
Hooray for making them more prominent- and I'd love to see that trend continue, e.g. by making them drop down from the original post without loading a new page.
Keep up the good work, guys. It's fun to see the progress.

johnp reported a problem in Brightkite on June 04, 2008 15:53:
Replying to messages totally sux.replying to messages is hard!
When i click to reply, it opens a box over the old message. I always refer to someones message when drafting a reply. I like not having a page refresh... but i hate that i can't see the old message. i also don't like the fact that "replies" aren't grouped with the original message. Being able to see just my outgoing messages is good, but I'd like to see messages "in context", so i can read a whole "conversation" in one go. (this could also serve as a reminder that i've replied to a message).

Thanks Brady, that's a great addition. I do have a couple questions about the future plans for this feature.
The iPhone/Touch client will get this feature added in the future, correct? Right now I can't make or see replies with it.
Are there plans to be able to designate a reply specifically for only the original poster's eyes as well as the public reply feature?
Will replies show up in the location feeds and friend feeds? Right now I can only see a reply I've made to someone by going to their original post.
Thanks again for the hard work guys!
Joe

Dave Hansen marked one of johnp's replies in Brightkite as useful. johnp replied to the idea "Can I comment on peoples pictures and posts?". Dave Hansen and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
johnp's reply to "Can I comment on peoples pictures and posts?" was just promoted to the most useful! dhinchcliffe and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
I think the whole brightkite idea revolves around creating virtual communities around physical spaces...
i think it's hard to have a community without being able to ask "was that restaurant good? i've really wanted to check it out!", or being able to say "I used to work here! Have you noticed that you can see times square if you stand at the end of the west balcony??"

Yes, in fact we do have an API. Here's our blog post about it: http://blog.getsatisfaction.com/2008/04/16/the-get-satisfaction-api-is-here/. If you have any further questions about it, feel free to post them in *our* customer service area: http://getsatisfaction.com/satisfaction. We also have some topics over there about the API already. :) – Amy Muller, on May 19, 2008 20:44
