Well maybe you should stop bitching quite so much about QuickBooks, which at least does its accounting properly, and start making LessAccounting do things properly. Stop saying it can import from QuickBooks, because it simply cannot do it properly. LessAccounting is ANYTHING BUT STRESS FREE. It's a pain in the neck which hasn't got any better for some considerable time. Don't sell it as a small business solution, sell it as a bookkeeping aid for self-employed contractors. Be honest right there on Page One. Save people time and wasted effort.
Oh, and I've no idea what it's normally like, but tonight the LessAccounting site has been really slow and completely broken for long periods. QuickBooks has been fast and 100% available. Wow, looks like you've got such a great alternative.-

Everything's a "Bank Account"!??!Asset & liability accounts are not bank accounts. Nominal accounts are categories, not bank accounts. Yet having imported from QuickBooks, our "bank account" list has accounts like Sales, Consultancy, Training, and Fixed Assets.
We simply can't use LessAccounting. We'll have to pay our accountant far too much money to try to massage the broken figures into something viable for reporting in our end of year accounts.
Maybe Xero can help. -

Alas, we decided to go with Quickbooks again for this financial year. If the first big "no more pain" feature with Less Accounting can't deliver, we'd rather stay with the devil we know. -
