Sorry to be a bubble burster but we're really fond of the method we've chosen. We obviously have thought about how we think a Twitter client ought to behave and we're going to do our best to implement it. There is pretty much no chance that Tweetie will have an 'imbedded tweet window'.

The advantages (enumerated in this thread and another) far out weigh any perceived shortcomings.
