I've stopped following a few people recently (who weren't following me anymore). Their icon still shows up on my front page - even though the count of the number of people following me (just above the array of icons) is correct.

Is this ever going to be fixed, Twitter? It seems like it ought to either count the ">" as four characters or find a way to represent that in one character...

Before posting, Twitter said the following update was exactly 140 characters. After I hit the post button, it said that it was more than 140 characters. Any idea why? (Quotes added here to delimit the actual Tweet.)

"Headed to the airport shortly... Have two connections today instead of one like usual. Seattle -> Milwaukee -> Muskeegon -> Grand Rapids (!)"

I'd like this, but would like to be able to select who is in the inner circle independently from who I get SMS updates from. However, if this was the only way of doing it, that would be ok too. :o)

I'd really like to have my primary "home" page on Twitter only show Tweets from a selected subset of people I'm following. I'm following some people that I'm interested in checking out from time to time, but they Tweet so often that they crowd out everyone else's Tweets on my front page.

This would also be a great option for lots of other situations. For instance, a recording artist (or someone with a similar number of followers) could still follow lots of people but would have the option of having their home page updated with only a small number of close personal friends, a kind of inner circle. A second page could give them a view of Tweets from everyone they are following.
