Jon Dillon replied on November 21, 2008 17:31 to the problem "Tweetsville crashes upon fetching the timeline" in Tapulous:
I'm another one with the same problem. Tweetsville worked fine when i first installed it after a day it started to crash when calling the timeline. I uninstalled and reinstalled and again it was fine for a day but once again it crashes each time it finally loads my timeline. Sometimes it'll load but the moment I try to scroll in the timeline poof it crashes.
Although on 41 report the problem on Get Satisfaction if you look here http://search.twitter.com/search?q=tw... you can see the more problem is more widespread.
Personally I really like the promise of this app but I'm anxiously waiting for an update.-

Hi Debbz, Many thanks for the comment. The problem is actually on our side with the update mechanism between the editorial system and the deadline quiz. I had thought the problem was repaired yesterday but in fact it broke again. We'll update it now and we'll be working on the update system today to asure this doesn't happen again

Challenge your friendsIf you don't want to play the basic quiz you can challenge a friend to go head to head.
* There are 10 questions in a challenge the one with the most points wins
* You only have three cheats in a challenge so use them wisely
* Watch your wins rack up on your challenge leader board
* Points won in a challenge also count towards the master leader board
* Cheats won in a challenge can be used in the standard game
* The winner of a challenge gets to smack talk the loser
* The loser gets to smack back

Cheats explained* The 50/50 eliminates two wrong answers, leaving you with a 50/50 chance to get it right. Careful here, though, because the clock keeps ticking.
* Stop the clock freezes the 30-sec timer so you can take as much time as you need to Google the question.
*Free Pass automatically gives you the right answer, but you’ve got to be quick if you use it to get the maximum points. This is a great one to have - use it wisely.
*Poll the audience shows you how many other players chose each possible answer. Be careful, though, the "wisdom of the crowd" isn't always right.

How do I win cheatsThese valuable little things will help you advance in the game.
* You win a “Free Pass” for saving your scores (creating a login).
* You earn cheats for every new level you achieve.
* You secure a “Stop the Clock” for every streak of 10 right answers.
* If you’re struggling, you’ll get a “50/50” after a losing streak of 10 in a row.
* You gain a “50/50” for answering 3 questions correctly in a row if each question scores higher than the last.
* You receive a “Poll the Audience”for scoring 300 points in 4 consecutive questions.
* You can also get a “Poll the Audience” for missing a question that 75% of players got right.
* You win a random cheat for answering a bonus question correctly.

How to play the quiz* You've got 30 seconds to answer each question
* All questions are multiple choice, 4 possible answers for each
* You can stop playing and save your score at any time
* You can be fast, but being right is more important
* You can win cheats within the game-

Editing placemarksIt would good to be able to edit placemarks. Currently you can either checkin or delete only.

personalised sharing messagesWould be good if we could personalize our checking message that goes to twitter. The current template is a little uninteresting.
PS: love the service
Cheers Jon
