Joni replied on November 04, 2009 18:39 to the problem "Unable to join other peoples' public story" in Whrrl:
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for writing in. Whose story are you trying to join? I can make sure they haven't changed their twitter name on Whrrl. Also, sometimes people forget to put a space between 'join' and '@'. It should look like this: "join @Ali_sweeney" (or whatever twitter name you choose).
On the website we allow people to accept an invitation to join a story, but there is no join button if you have not been invited. We do have a mobile website at m.whrrl.com that allows you to join stories. We also have a mobile product for BlackBerry's if you use one.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. You can also send questions to feedback@whrrl.com.
My best,
Joni

Joni replied on September 08, 2009 23:06 to the idea "New Whrrl = FAIL" in Whrrl:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in with your feedback. In April we launched Whrrl 2.0, an integrated mobile and web storytelling application. You can tell stories on your iPhone and publish them out to your Facebook and Twitter networks. Then you can log in to the Whrrl.com website, edit those stories and re-publish if you wish.
Like Whrrl 1,0, we still offer maps on both the web and iPhone applications, and we still have a setting that will notify you when your friends are within certain distances.
We encourage you to try out the new Whrrl and tell us what you think!

Joni

Joni replied on July 24, 2009 21:24 to the question "How do I stop whrrl from sending me notifications?!" in Whrrl:
Hi Kate,
Thanks for writing in. I'm sorry you are receiving unwanted email notifications. If you could please write in to feedback@whrrl.com with your email address,, I'd be happy to look into this for you.
If all your notifications are turned off on the settings page, and you are still receiving them, you may have two accounts, one through Whrrl and one through Facebook. The notifications might be coming from the other account. I can check this for you when you provide your email address.
We look forward to resolving this issue for you.
My best,
Joni

Hi,
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. I was not able to reproduce this behavior in Firefox. What browser were you using? We did have a short 10 minute network outage yesterday around 3:20 PST, I'm wondering if your story was lost during that time?
Please send us an email to feedback@whrrl.com with your account information and we'd be happy to research further.
Thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for writing in with your feedback. Whrrl 2.0 is an integrated mobile and web storytelling application. You can tell stories on your iPhone or using SMS, and publish them out to your Facebook and Twitter networks. Then you can log in to the Whrrl.com website, edit those stories and re-publish if you wish.
We have a tutorial in the iPhone under Featured Stories called 'How to use Whrrl 2.0'. We also have FAQ pages that may address further questions: http://faq.whrrl.com.
Please let us know if you have specific questions, we're here to help.

Joni replied on March 31, 2009 21:14 to the question "Any way to have whrrl update my FB & twitter status as a story unfolds?" in Whrrl:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in with your question. Whrrl does not automatically update your Facebook and Twitter status. To set status you'll need to choose to publish to Facebook and Twitter (tap the Share button). This will set your status and include a unique URL to your story.
Whrrl will create an album in Facebook for each story. To set this up, tap the Settings button in the iPhone application and set 'Create Facebook albums for my stories" to ON.
Please let us know if you have any further questions. You can also write in to feedback@whrrl.com.
Thanks,
Joni
