I'd actually like to know if Flock has any plans for supporting open-sourced social-web services in general.
I had inquired quite a while ago about the possibility to integrate with Reddit in much the same way Digg is used within Flock, but unfortunately haven't heard a single chirp from any bird in the bunch...-

I agree - in fact, I've been nudging this idea since i started dabbling with Songbird 0.2! None of us are suggesting the customization and feathering should be removed. By all means, develop that aspect as much as you like, but let us opt for the native desktop interface if that's what we're more comfortable with, or because that's just what floats our boat!

A comment on the problem "Flock crashes/disappears with no errors whenever I try to download the latest version of Flock!" in Flock:
Thanks again. I have quite a large collection of extensions which have been useful and reliable for months without a single crash, and Flash has been working flawlessly for quite some time as well. It slipped my mind, however, that I've recently added four more extensions to the mix, so I'll try disabling them to see if any of them are the culprit! Just for everyone's information, those four extensions are:
Download Manager Tweak 0.8.2
Live HTTP headers 0.14
SmoothWheel 0.44.16.20081003.3
Tamper Data 10.1.1
p.s.: One thing that pleasantly surprises me is that forms I'm filling out while Flock crashes remain populated after restarting, so when I'm submitting problems on GetSatisfaction or Launchpad, I can pick-up where I was! ;p
p.p.s.: Looks like that still hasn't solved my dilemma...Flock crashed while clicking the submit on this comment! ...Oh, well, back to sifting through other questions and crash reports! :D – jonny_nut, on February 23, 2009 21:07
jonny_nut replied on February 23, 2009 13:38 to the problem "OpenID extension doesn't work" in Flock:
I'm getting some progress, but still not able to use this extension. I'm now able to get it installed, and validating OpenIDs seems to work fine - they show up under "Your OpenID's", and I can edit them with no problems, but when I get to a login page where the extension recognizes that they can be used, clicking on them does nothing.
Ring any bells for anyone?
