Jos Yule marked one of Aitese's replies in I want Sandy as useful. Aitese replied to the question "Change the reminder time with an email". Jos Yule and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Well, you can export via RSS or iCal right now. So if your other tool supports those formats you are in luck. I'm sure that there would be some data loss tho - i don't know how much context is exported in the RSS feed. Until such a time as they create an export function, those are the only two (easy/quick) ways i see of getting your data out. Keep in mind that this is just my two cents, and i could be totally of my rocker. YMMV, etc etc...

Jos Yule replied on February 14, 2008 16:06 to the idea "iCal subscriptions per tag/search/whatever" in I want Sandy:
Ahh, that's excellent. I would add somekind of link directly to an RSS/iCal feed with the URL already created, so you don't have to manually mess with the URL. But the functionality is good.
As you say, having some kind of "private" key, so that you can give the URL away, without having to give away your password would be a great next step.
One gotcha is that in Lightning (thunderbird's calendar plugin), the ical feed dosen't seem to have the reminder set - in fact, looking at the .ics file, i don't see the reminder either. Is it published to the ics?
Thanks!

Jos Yule shared an idea in I want Sandy on February 13, 2008 20:51:
iCal subscriptions per tag/search/whateverRather then making my all my todo's available, i'd like to "share" my @family tagged items with the rest of the family. They could subscribe to my "private" @family url, which would then only publish items which i've tagged with @family. Each tag or search could have its own iCal url.
What i'm really looking for is some way share a sub-set of my items with others.
