I don't see this - beside the 'search' box is a "drop-down" list with "sort and filter".

Regardless, its not that i want a solution to a specific problem (which, thankfully i haven't had yet), but i'd like to help the dev's solve a _generic interface problem_, and make the interaction better for all the users of the tool.

Thanks for the heads up about that button tho - i didn't see it there!

I think that anything that is being "included" in the 'note' would not get parsed by Sandy. So, using the '>', anything after the '>' would be saved as is.

I really like the sandy web interface. It does suffer from a common web 2.0 wart (well, actually, _lots_ of software does this) - the warning box. We get so used to just clicking 'ok', that we scarcely even know that we are doing it, until its too late. Then what we need is an undo.

I highly recommend this article at ALA:

I know its a pain to implement, but for your users (ME! ;) it just makes your already good interface that much better.

And who wouldn't want that?

The issue i see with this is that sometimes i want to dash off a note to myself, as part of a reminder, and having to "quote" it would be difficult/pain/slow me down.

What is the potential difficulty in having Sandy remember the entire body of any email in which the _subject_ line is 'remember..."?

I can see that _in the body_ of an email it becomes more complex...

Hurm. You probably don't want to get into any weird 'wiki-like' formatting (which is why you are going with the standard email quoting methods, i'm guessing)... I wish i had an easy solution... All the things i can think of are kind of kludges.

A (simple?) kludge would be -

Each paragraph which starts with a special character is marked for inclusion - ie. start a para with a '>' and Sandy will 'remember' that text. All para's marked like so will be remembered by the preceding 'Sandy, remember...' directive, so you could have more then one...

This would be a big plus - i'd love to be able to jot down a longer "note" a have sandy remember it for me.
