I've sent mine in to be PUSH turned. The guys said they can increase the mid stroke compression and change the valving to increase the bottom out resistance - make it feel more like the DHX I know and love but be only 200g. Can't wait to get it all up and running. I love the super smooth DNA as well, I just hope the main frame lasts for a few more years! I guess there had to be some trade off having such a light long travel frame!

thanks kiltedskier, I put just mounted the shock and went for a ride. I'm amazed by the difference in the handling of the bike. I was running a DHX 5 coil, which is a great shock in terms of sensitivity however with the spring it's a full kg heaver!
I've started doing 100k rides and races with my friends, so you can imagine what a difference a full kg will make after 90km!
The ride feels significantly faster and more nimble. My only complaint is even once the sag is set up I find the shock much easier to bottom out than the DHX. It's got the least amount of factory compression. I might have to get it turned to give me more bottom out resistance.

DNA Warranty claim experience. After reading another post that seemed to get quite nasty, I thought I'd share my experience.
I've been very happy with MC and how they dealt with my warranty claims. They replaced both my mainframe, and my swingarm on separate occasions. I had to wait a few months for the mainframe but this is perfectly understandable given the DNA's not in production anymore.
I was a bit concerned when I first made the claim given that I live in Australia, a very long way away from MC. But all was settled and sorted for me.
After my experience I wouldn't hesitate to buy another MC product knowing I will be looked after if there are any warranty issues.
My only complaint is they need to develop another 6 - 7" frame to replace the gap the DNA left!

san andreas dna shock lengthsHi, I have a DNA and want to use a fox float RP23 7.875 (200mm) with 2" stoke a friend gave me. Is this okay? Should I push the VPS back to slacken the head angle and lower the BB when using this longer shock? thanks!

creaky dropoutsCreaky Dropouts. Hi I have a DNA. I'm constantly removing the dropouts from the frame and cleaning them to get rid of an irritating creak when I place the drive train under load. I've tried grease, lithium Grease, dry lube, and no lube at all. But all pretty much have the same deal - creak starts again within 3 - 5 hours of riding. Any suggestions?
