Same with me too. I am now watching my co-workers experience the same frustration with this application that I have been experiencing for the past year. – josh, on November 22, 2009 02:02

The software still crashes all the time when I quit. I am running Snow Leopard. I admit I haven't helped you with any reports lately but I don't have time to do that and my work too.
Bottom-line is the software is sub-par to all other Adobe products that I use in the suite. If there was more competition out there I think it would be a positive thing for overall quality. The application has just about as many strengths as weaknesses. Hopefully you can make a change for the better in the next release? – josh, on November 22, 2009 02:00

Here's a series of shot from as soon as I could manage to grab the activity monitor.
Crash...relaunch...stabilize...hope that helps.
Crash

Relaunch: For a short while there is a red warning message that appears in the Activity Monitor next to the FW icon that says something about a file being unavailable. I can never seem to grab the screenshot in-time.

Stabilize

Adobe Fireworks & Snow Leopard performanceSince the upgrade to Snow Leopard as soon as I launch FW CS 4 10.0.3.11 my MacBook Pro goes into a fan furry and won't let up until I quit FW.
The app runs super slow and in the export to web view FW crawls to export even a few jpegs.
Fireworks sometimes crashes when I quit the app.
Adobe! Did you test Fireworks with Snow Leopard before its pubic launch? Once again I feel like you have missed another opportunity with this application. I am quite frustrated with the overall upkeep of Fireworks. Out of all my Adobe CS applications it is the one that runs the worst and crashes the most.

Dear Adobe,
I am disappointed with the update which promised to fix many of the issues with Fireworks. Honestly how do you bug check and stress test this software? Seems to have a VERY different standard then the rest of your software which is quite disappointing.
Not sure what else to say. If you really want to fix this software let us know and we will spend time sending you comprehensive feedback but I am honestly tired of all the bug reports and extensive emails I take time to report and send...with no payoff in solid software.

Alan, Many of us have been patiently waiting for Adobe to respond. I look forward to the update and I am encouraged to see Adobe is supporting their products. Please keep us all informed and let the community know if you have any questions or need assistance/feedback with the update. – josh, on April 02, 2009 04:27

I agree completely. This tool allows me to accomplish things I just couldn't do with other applications within the CS.
So how many comments to this thread do you think it will take to get Adobe to respond? – josh, on November 25, 2008 18:21

I too have had numerous problems with the text engine too. Once the text was literally split along the "x" height when I reopened the file.
I have also found when I save a file and then go to switch to another app within the creative suite it can cause CS4 FW to crash.
If anyone at Adobe has any feedback or advice I'd appreciate hearing from them. – josh, on November 24, 2008 17:13

What's even more disappointing is we have still yet to get a simple "Yes we hear you and we are working hard to fix these issues...we'll let you know when we make some progress..." – josh, on November 22, 2008 16:04

Fireworks lacking the spark!Adobe Fireworks CS4 30 day trial.
I have been using this product since the Beta came out and my company will probably purchase in the new year.
The app crashes at least 3-4 times a day. Is very slow to respond compared to photoshop etc. Is this something you know about. Is it going to improve? Otherwise I will have to seek another product because my efficiency is reduced and I can't bill a client for time that I am rebooting the app etc when it crashes and hangs up for minutes at a time.
Desperately seeking some help with this.
I am running on a Dual 2.7 Ghz PPC G5 with 2G of RAM OS 10.4.11

Is there going to be any progress on getting the site back up? I bought the book with using the support site in mind.
I understand it's the authors site but you printed it in your book so I expect to be able to access the site. Months have passed and I see no progress.
I would hope Oreilly would fulfill and back its product. – josh, on September 18, 2008 17:24
