    the email thing may be just something on tech supports side alot of times they mix those things up when they are in accounts give them a call if the person sounds like they dont know what there talking about ask to be put through to tier 1.5 or 2 they secretly they dont like to talk to people but who cares they know more

    with digital cable if your lines need to be replaced your box will do this because of signal loss for now until you can get someone out that knows what the heck they are doing just take the line thats going into your box and bypass the box go straight to the tv

    I stumbled across this site and as a cable installer not for comcast but for someone else you people are the people who are sitting here complaining on this site are idiots, for instants a dvr is expensive because of features, it has an internal hardrive so you can record movies as well as hd capability, while being dct as well, another thing your box is switching on and off well its either not getting enough signal for digital cable or most likely its just a bad box just like any other things that are new there are bad ones out there, and for the person griping about them being later its not there fault they have other work and if they run into a house that has seven tv's and 6db comin from the tap they've got an all day problem these things happen people, I mean I guess I just dont understand why people gripe so much get someone out to fix it you have to think you are griping at the BIGGEST cable/internet/telephone company in the united states it takes time, and it doesn't get any better trust me i've worked cox and mediacom, and I hear your frustration but Ill bet you if you call customer service and dont be a dick give the person a break that has been getting screamed at all day, they will most likely credit your account for missing you service, and another thing DO NOT TRY TO HOOK CRAP UP YOURSELFS everyone thinks that they are the cable man, but your not you cause signal loss with all these crappy connectors and rg59 cable from radioshack if you need to add an outlet just let a proffessional do it you will be way better off I promise you. Anyways I hope a few people will actually read this and give the cable guy a break for once he or she is only human, you should try to do it, its not as easy as it looks have a great day week and month.
