Add to conversation / Swipe SupportApparently ideas are coming in twos for me.
1. I'd love a button, or a menu item (key binding would be great to go with that) that allows me to add emails into a conversation without them sharing a title.
Often after a few emails someone gets bored of all the inline text and starts a new email without all the backlog, but as I have a way of coping with backlog, it would be really useful to be able to get them to link up and just carry on going.
Maybe a simple "add to conversation" menu item?
2. It would be really nice to get swipe-support for mac laptops - being able to do a 3-finger swipe and move from tab to tab would be fantastic. But a key command to cycle through tabs would also be fantastic.
Probably not as useful as my last couple of ideas, but still maybe worth some thought?

A comment on the idea "Contact Prioritizing / Topic Colours" in Postbox, Inc.:
Hi Sherman,
On 1. A native colour palette would be perfect in my eyes, I look forwards to seeing what you do on this.
On 2. I'm already well into using auto assigned topics, but I don't want to end up creating loads of rules that all serve a similar purpose or end up making rules that are so long internally that if I want to move someone from one priority to another I spend about 5 mins trying to find that person. That and a UI button is nicer than custom rules a lot of the time. Obviously you don't want to over-complicate the GUI, so... we shall see!
Well, I hope this helps, and I'm interested to see what other people think!

Contact Prioritizing / Topic ColoursI'd really like two things.
1. Topic Colours:
Could we have the ability to choose from the full RGB colour selection? I like to have a lot of my emails coloured and I'd really like to be able to select any colours I like rather than the selection provided.
2. Rate Contacts:
I would love a couple of things here. I'd first like to be able to organise by whether the contacts are in my address book or not.
But more than that, I'd like to be able to rate contacts in terms of importance, a simple coloured dot would do. So, any emails that came from a client that I work with regularly might have a red dot, whereas emails from my friend would have a green dot by it.

Search Results Not Returning Good/Proper ResultsI'm having a real problem with the search engine (I'm using the OS X build)
If I search for "Jess" often it won't come up with emails from "Jess", only emails containing the word "Jess" - which can be thoroughly annoying.
Worse still, if "Jess" were to switch between "Jess" and "Jessica" sometimes, if I search "Jess" I don't get any results for "Jessica" despite that "Jessica" contains "Jess".
It would be really good if we could get some spotlight integration here too.-

See, I liked the 1.1 highlighting style, I thought it was easy on the eyes, easy to read and generally stylish. The new style is simply far too subtle to be useful.
I know how you guys want there to be one solution for everyone, and I know how you feel that if you don't do it as a one-for-all thing you feel like you've failed, but the truth is we all seem to like different things - customisability is the solution here.
ATM I'm with @brendo_91 - I'm considering trying to find v1.1 again.-

Mentions (@username) lagHaving some strange lag problems with @mentions. They take about another 3-4 minutes to show up in my timeline (even after I've seen them on the web), and then another 30 seconds to be registered as mentions.
Don't know if anyone else is having this problem Had it in 1.1.0 and still have it in 1.1.1
Thoughts?

@nilium - have you checked you have 1.1.1 not 1.1.0? (see Scot's post) – Josh Carroll, on May 05, 2009 02:22
