Josh Jacobson set one of Josh Jacobson's replies as an official response to "Don't Require Administrator Rights to Install Xobni" in Xobni
Josh Jacobson replied on November 23, 2009 17:39 to the idea "Don't Require Administrator Rights to Install Xobni" in Xobni:
Thanks for trying to try Xobni :) Sorry you're having trouble with the "admin rights" issue. Right now it is indeed a requirement for Xobni and Xobni Plus. However we are looking into this soon. In the meantime, you can also show Xobni Enterprise http://www.xobni.com/enterprise to your IT administrator. Perhaps he or she will work with you to try it out.

A comment on the idea "Timebased contact history for more data sources (phone, SMS, etc)" in Xobni:
Thank you. Yes, we are working on more and more data sources. Today it's email messages, attachments, and appointments. You can also integrate with Salesforce now to see Salesforce data. We will do more in the future. If you have special CRM systems at your company, you can look at http://www.xobni.com/enterprise and work with a developer to make an extension for your own systems. – Josh Jacobson, on November 18, 2009 23:15

I'm sure we can; we'll spend some more time looking at this in more detail and may have some follow up questions in the future. – Josh Jacobson, on November 18, 2009 20:20

Josh Jacobson replied on November 17, 2009 02:06 to the idea "Group emails using a function of the subject" in Xobni:
Hi Wnatter,
If you did a subject search in Xobni Plus, this should work. You could type in:
subject:435TE
(where 435TE would be your ticket number)
Is that what you are looking for? Or are you talking about the conversation groupings below the "conversations" area of a person's profile?
In that case, we would need to work on the algorithm a bit. If you can give me some more examples of subjects that you would want grouped, I could look into it further.
Thanks!

Thanks all for the great suggestion.
FYI, we do this in a very subtle way right now. I know it's too subtle to serve your needs, but just wanted you to be aware of it. Any message that you have visited from that particular search result will have a grey subject line instead of a black subject line. We can be much more obvious about this in the future, of course.

Josh Jacobson posted an update in Xobni on November 11, 2009 05:35:
Bug fix update available for Xobni and Xobni Plus (1.8.3 build 8997)
Working together with our dedicated and helpful user community (that's you), we have uncovered and fixed two issues in Xobni 1.8.
Xobni 1.8.3 build 8997 is a minor bug fix release and is recommended for anyone experiencing the issues below. It is available now at http://www.xobni.com/download/latest, and includes the following changes since builds 8559 and 8734:
1) Crash Fixes for Some Plug-in Conflicts
If you have been experiencing any crashing in Outlook after installing Xobni, please try this build. We have focused on resolving conflicts with other Outlook plug-ins, including Symantec Enterprise Vault. Thanks to “Gemster,” Mike Maccana, Ralf Vissers and many others for helping us identify and test this fix via our support community.
2) First-run startup screen now only happens on first run
For a handful of new Xobni 1.8 users, a “Welcome to Xobni 1.8; now with Xobni Plus!” screen was appearing every time they started Outlook. Wow, that was annoying... and completely unintentional. This is fixed. Thanks to Jay Johnson and others for reporting this issue.
