Joshua Baer replied on November 22, 2009 19:56 to the question "I want Out" in OtherInbox:
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble! All of your email messages are still in Yahoo! Mail. They have been moved into folders on the left hand side of the screen.
There are instructions on how to disconnect OIB from Yahoo! Mail here http://gsfn.us/t/d6z4
When you see a blank message is the URL at the top of the page a yahoo.com or otherinbox.com?
Thanks for your feedback - we're always working to improve the product and we need to hear from you to make it better.

Joshua Baer replied on November 18, 2009 15:53 to the question "where's the innovation with otherinbox.com?" in OtherInbox:
Thanks for asking! We are hard at work but it sounds like we're not doing a good enough job communicating what we're up to.
The past few months we've been very focused on infrastructure. We had a huge influx of new users and things got slow for a while so we put a lot of effort into database improvements which really helped a lot. It was a significant undertaking, but we're now well positioned to take on hundreds of thousands of new users.
We've also been focused on improving the Automatic Organizer functionality that finds messages in your Gmail or Yahoo! Mail account, files them in folders/labels, and pulls them into OtherInbox.
We've added Delegate functionality so that you can give a different login and password to an assistant, family member, or co-worker that you want to be able to check your OIB as well.
We have been spending time last week and this week optimizing IMAP - hopefully you will see improvements already. If you're still having problems deleting messages please submit a separate GS issue so we can track that down for you.
Currently, we're doing R&D on the calendar and receipt functionality.
Search is high on the priority list too. I agree that we really need it! The underlying architecture supports merging mailboxes so we just need to expose that in the UI.
We really appreciate your feedback and we are listening. Things are going great and we're growing like crazy but we are still a startup so we can only focus on a few things a time. Thanks for your patience and keep sending the suggestions!

Joshua Baer replied on October 25, 2009 21:18 to the problem "Hotmail organization "not so hot"!" in OtherInbox:
Hi Earl,
Right now we access Hotmail over the POP protocol which lets us get messages into OtherInbox but doesn't allow us to move them inside of Hotmail.
We're currently investigating better solutions for Hotmail that would allow us to organize the messages inside of Hotmail similar to how we do for Yahoo! Mail and Gmail.
Thanks for letting us know that you want this! We use these suggestions to help prioritize our features.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for giving OtherInbox a try! You can train your Organizer to put the messages where you want - you just drag them to another OIB folder and it will automatically learn to put them in that folder instead. You can read more about it here http://gsfn.us/t/d664

Joshua Baer replied on October 12, 2009 13:06 to the problem "Refund Please" in OtherInbox:
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are listening!
We've had some explosive growth over the past month and it has really affected our quality of service. Our programmers have been working overtime (they are at it today) to add capacity and speed things up.
We completed some major upgrades this weekend that we believe will make a big difference for your mail delivery speed starting this week. We're going to continue improving things over the next month. If you're willing to give us a second chance, I think you'll feel better 30 days from now.
Our current IMAP implementation works well for some but is slow for others. I'm not sure when that will get better.
If you want to terminate your account we will promptly issue a refund and wish you the best. In case you're willing to give us a second chance, I have added an EXTRA year of premium service to your account for free as a thank you. To request a refund, please email help at oib.com
Thanks again for sharing your feedback and for giving OtherInbox a try. I hope we can improve things for you!

Hi William,
Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback and share your ideas!
It sounds like you would love the Premium version of OtherInbox - it works a lot like you describe. A different folder is created for each sender and it also gives you unlimited email addresses so that you can give each sender a different address if you want.

A comment on the question "Why is OIB for Yahoo only working some of the time, not all of the time???" in OtherInbox:
Some of the inconsistency may be that our servers were behind on Friday and Saturday but we think we got things caught up over the weekend. I know its frustrating to sign up for something new and not have it work the way you expected right away and I'm really sorry about that. I promise that we're working hard to keep up with demand and we are listening carefully to your feedback so that we can keep improving! – Joshua Baer, on September 20, 2009 15:52

Thank you for the feedback Deb. The messages that we recognized are listed in the Settings page if you click on the Automatic Organizer. If there are messages that you want us to organize but that we didn't grab by default, just drag them into the folder you want them to go to and we'll "learn" to do that in the future.
If you have a moment, I'd love to hear some examples of the From address of messages that we missed so that we can improve the default filters.
Thanks for your patience! – Joshua Baer, on September 20, 2009 15:50
