Yes, if I am an employee, then I am labelled the same as someone who actually works there...this includes the title, the responsibilities, the affiliation etc. However if I was to be labelled 'Admin' then there are different expectations. I'm simply there to look after the website (which I am).
The organisation I'm working for is very small, so people who all of a sudden see another 'employee' around...think that they've missed something, and possibly now believe that they have not been asked if I should be accepted to work there etc.
There are lots of ins and outs but...yes, it does matter whether I am seen as an 'employee' or an 'admin'.
Thus, it would be great if we could have some options about what surrounded our profile picture.

Joss shared an idea in Get Satisfaction on July 22, 2009 20:50:
Give Admins a separate "admin" badgeI'm currently working with a company to develop their website and have utilised this feedback tool. I'm really liking it, although I am getting comments about my employment status with the company.
I am only building the website, and although getting paid for it, I am not actually an employee as such. When I register on the Get Satisfaction website though, to be the 'admin' I must be advertised as an 'employee'.
Is there any way to change this?

Hi Toni, I'm sorry for the long response time. We are still getting this part of the site up and running so we don't have our full support crew on call.
I am the site administrator for the Port Phillip East Presbytery, and I am following this question up for you. Please be patient while I get the information required.
Thanks.
Joss reported a problem in Get Satisfaction on June 24, 2009 04:56:
Submitted Comment Response to 'Customer'I use this support site for a church website and have been made aware that when someone submits a comment they are thanked as a customer.
Given we are not offering any sort of product, it would be great to be able to call them something else.
I have currently asked the site to reconise us as an organisation rather than a company, but this does not seem to have changed the response.
Is there any way to achieve this, or can this be an added feature.
Thanks.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the comments. Not many of us are looking at this part of the site at this stage as we're all still getting our heads around the main part. I, the webmaster, and checking on this though...
Thanks for the typo check, I've fixed that now.
Also, this site is not managed by us, it is an external thing, but...I can certainly look into getting this changed as, yes, it is a little strange calling you a customer.
Thanks for the great feedback!-

Joss replied on April 12, 2009 23:16 to the praise "Love bluehost for all my Hosting and Domain Registration" in BlueHost:
I agree, Bluehost is great!
They seem to trump every other company out there on every aspect.
The only ones that come close are offshoots from Bluehost (the same company, but using older technology with different pricing structures, using a different name).
Bluehost is my first and only choice and highly recommended.
Joss replied on April 12, 2009 23:12 to the problem "Why do I have to wait half an hour for support?" in BlueHost:
I'm in Australia, and whenever I've had to deal with Bluehost Support it's been a breeze. I have only done so by internet (either web chat or email) but they have always been quick to respond and very helpful.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble, but I hope you don't give up on this great company because of this experience.
In my opinion, their service, support and product is top notch and better than what other people are offering by a long way.
Good luck with it Jessica!-

I've found that if you use Ping.fm and Skype (you can do this through Trillian) you are able to simply start a Skype chat with Ping.fm and it will post anything you tell it. Meaning you can post status updates direct to multiple services, Twitter included, by simply Skyping a message bot.
Pretty Cool!-

Joss asked a question in Google on April 11, 2009 03:34:
Remember my font choiceIs there any way to get Gmail to remember the font I like to use in emails?
It would be nice not to have to change the font every time I want to send my emails.
Joss gave praise in Woopra on April 06, 2009 11:40:
Calendar works wellI really like the calendar page in the new Woopra interface. It makes sense to have it split into so many sections so that the user can see exactly when the traffic is coming through. Good job!
Joss asked a question in Woopra on April 06, 2009 11:38:
Referrer not showing true formWoopra doesn't seem to tell me when my referrer is from anything bar regular domains and search engines. Even when I click through from one of these myself, it doesn't show up.
How do I make it do this?
