"path/to/music is not a valid path"
Ubuntu often fails to mount my network drives(where my music is). If I forget to manually mount the drives prior to opening Songbird, Songbird can't find the music(obviously). However, when I mount the drives and try to submit the path into Songbird again, it states "/path/to/music is not a valid path" and I have to force Songbird closed because it won't let me close the config panel unless I enter a path that it likes. I opened the folder and played music from it in Rythmbox to make sure it was working correctly. I've restarted the computer and Songbird, but the problem persists.

How do I get Songbird to see my music again?

Songbird migrates across all desktop taskbars.
I'm not sure if this is a deficiency in Gnome or Songbird, but I thought I would start here since it only happens with Songbird.

Using Songbird 1.2 b 1146(but has been happening on prior releases) in Gnome 2.22.2 in DreamLinux 3.5:

I have installed the lyrics and focus addon as well.

I have one X session with 4 desktops. I put my browser and mail on desktop 1, Songbird and other audio related apps on desktop 2, editing stuff on 3 and 4 is my overflow.

All other apps behave properly in the respect that they show on the taskbar only on the desktop on which they're running. To explain better, Firefox and Thunderbird show on the taksbar only when you're on desktop 1, Gedit only shows on the taskbar when you're on desktop 3.

Songbird only shows on the taskbar until something happens in songbird(like a playlist change, song advancement, etc.), then it shows on the taskbar on every desktop. Once you click it on the taskbar, it whisks you to desktop 2, then clears off of all other desktop taskbars..... until something else happens in Songbird.

Is there a way to make Songbird play nice with my taskbars? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Does songbird have the capability for equalization
I've checked the addons, but I've either missed it or it doesn't exist.

Is there a way to add the capability to manipulate the output(equalizer) in Songbird? I'm outputting through a USB ~> RCA into a receiver, but even with the bass/treble maxed on the receiver, it's flat.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks,

Any way to have the song focus follow the currently playing track?
I hope this isn't considered blasphemy, but I'm coming from using Amarok for years. I had tried Songbird quite some time ago(.0.1.0 days), but recently found myself back on a Windows platform, so have tried all the players again to try to find a suitable replacement.

This happens on all the players I've tried: QMP, Foobar and Songbird included. Where in Amarok, you could simply pull the player window up and trust that the data you were looking at pertained the the currently track, on Songbird, you need to first select the currently playing track before you'll get the pertinent data(album art, mash-up, meta data).

Is there a way to have the player song focus follow the currently playing track? I often find myself reading data on the very first song to play.

If the feature already exists, could someone tell me how to use it and if it doesn't, could it be included in a future release? Although I'm no demographics expert, I would be willing to wager that the majority of users would like to have data concerning the currently playing track as opposed to the last one they clicked on.

    thanks,
