A comment on the problem "Search results in duplicates with Gmail Imap" in Postbox, Inc.:
Yes, it does seem wrong.
It lists the e-mail twice in the search listing (both showing a 'location' of All Mail), but only once in the normal message listing of All Mail, and on the web browser Gmail version, i.e., it's not a duplicate e-mail in gmail.
I have some screenshots of this, but this sub-comment block apparently doesn't allow images. – JSS, on October 20, 2009 18:48

The demo notice has not returned but the license menu is currently grayed out again. I will try the new build now. – JSS, on October 02, 2009 15:48

It still shows up as licensed on re-start. But, it frequently starts up properly licensed and only after use begins to show the demo notice. It's unlikely that entering my license for the fourth time is different than previous attempts unless you changed something on your end. – JSS, on September 29, 2009 17:38

I just looked at this. At the moment I was not getting the demo warning notice, and the license dropdown menu was grayed out and unresponsive.
I restarted Postbox and I had the demo notice again, but was then able to enter my license successfully. If i bring up the license window now, it shows that it is licensed to me.
This is what always happens, but in an hour or two the demo notice will be back. – JSS, on September 29, 2009 14:11

OSX 10.6.1
Version 1.0.0
Purchased 9/18 but notices only began recently.
Demo notice will appear and disappear without apparent reason.
I'll see the yellow demo notice, but later I'll use Postbox (no restart of the program or re-entry of the license) and it will be gone and the licensing seems normal for a time.
The 3 times I've entered the license (and had it accepted) didn't have any long term effect.-

There is not much white space. The generic NASA format is like this:

A comment on the question "Attachments tab window often won't open fully" in Postbox, Inc.:
I see now that it's because the 'from' field is very long. NASA (and perhaps other agencies) now adds automatic affiliations to the Senders name for all incoming government personnel e-mail (some of which are very long affiliations) plus the NASA Center name. It's more than 60 characters long sometimes. Still, it doesn't seem like a long 'from:' field should be able to completely obstruct the attachments window from opening though. It's not intuitive and I had no indication that it wasn't opening because I needed to expand the application window. – JSS, on September 22, 2009 18:03

Attachments tab window often won't open fullyIn previous versions, but including V. 1.0 I find that for some messages the attachments tab will not open when I click on it (see image). It opens about a half an inch, but not enough to view the attachment names. Repeated clicks alternate between this and fully closed. There is also no option to re-size the window if I mouse over the left edge.

JSS asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on September 15, 2009 14:00:
Search based on message 'size' does not seem to work.Searches do not appear to work using the 'size' parameter. Or perhaps I am entering the threshold incorrectly. I've tried searching for messages > '500KB' or > '500' etc. but it typically lists messages of all sizes, even very small ones.
If I try to save this as a Saved Search, it always resets the threshold equal to '0'

JSS asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on August 06, 2009 00:00:
Postbox not updating inbox with new mail on server.Occasionally, Postbox does not find new mail (in Gmail IMAP at least) even when I tell it to get new messages from the account. It just happened again a few minutes ago-- I noticed 3 new e-mails on my iPhone and repeated attempts to get messages on the desktop client found nothing.
If I quit and re-start Postbox, then it finds the new mail. I'm using Beta 14. It has happened previously as well but I'm not sure was a previous beta.
In other cases, I've noticed new mail in the Gmail notifier bar, even though Postbox continues to find no new mail.

I too will frequently have the previous message displayed in the side panel for several seconds after selecting a new message. It happens on all 3 of my macs. – JSS, on July 18, 2009 12:46
JSS asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on May 21, 2009 13:46:
Forwarding: Copy only the selected text to new messagesThis is the default behavior for Replying already, so why not for Forwarding as well? Currently, (beta 12) even when part of the text is highlighted, the whole message body is always copied to the new message.

A comment on the question "I'd love to love Postbox, but it is too slow for everyday use" in Postbox, Inc.:
Doesn't seem to be faster. I have three GetSatisfaction e-mails in my inbox. If I do nothing but click back and forth between these 3 e-mails, it might render in a sec, but frequently will take a full 2 seconds to display the e-mail. I just did this in Apple mail, and it was snapping between them in what seemed like about half a second, and did so consistently.
Likewise for Thunderbird 3.
Postbox just drags on rendering for many e-mails and I'm not sure why. It's really only an issue when I need to click through a lot of e-mails quickly. – JSS, on May 08, 2009 18:06
