Judy,

First go into Add/Remove programs and remove any references to CounterSpy or Vipre, then install the below updates and restart the computer. Once your computer is back up, download and run the installation again.

Install the correct one for your operating system.

I also have this problem. I tried the link above, it downloaded ok; however, when I tried to install I got the same error messages that I get when notified there is a software update ready tp install. "error 2738 could not access VBScript run time for custom action" "error 2732 Directory Manager not initialized." Can you help me out ? Judy – Judy, on October 09, 2008 15:33
