A comment on the idea "Add Threaded Replies and Conversation Display" in Nambu:
I brought them up because you seemed to be saying that it wasn't possible to do. That's all. I like Nambu a lot, and even in beta it's closer to being my ideal twitter client than almost everything out there. I'm pushing for conversation tracking to be a strong consideration as development continues because that's one of my dealbreakers. And yes, I understand it takes time. – Juliet, on December 09, 2009 20:20
A comment on the idea "Add Threaded Replies and Conversation Display" in Nambu:
Okay, but first, most users ARE actually talking about trying to track conversations between people we follow. Second, Nambu doesn't offer ANY indication of what original post an @reply is in response to. In Tweetie or Socialite, for instance, you can click on the @reply and see the entire progression of several @ replies back and forth. You can, in fact, see the entire conversation, chronologically. – Juliet, on December 09, 2009 18:46
A comment on the idea "Add Threaded Replies and Conversation Display" in Nambu:
And yet, off the top of my head, Socialite, Tweetie, Tweetdeck, and Seesmic all manage to track conversations/replies without forcing you to view the tweet in a browser. So, how are they doing it, if it's impossible? – Juliet, on December 09, 2009 16:06

I second the "please please please" -- it's impossible to follow any conversation or even @replies directed to me personally without this function. I can't think of any top Twitter client that *doesn't* implement either threaded conversations or some way of tracking the "in reply to" of others' @ tweets.-

A comment on the problem "Maintain Scrolling Position within Timelines" in Nambu:
I completely agree w/Nic's comment above -- one of the main drawbacks of Nambu to me is that it automatically pulls me to the top of the timeline & the most recent tweet when reloading, rather than keeping my position at the last read tweet. This means that I must always scroll back down to try to find my previous position to begin catching up on new tweets. – Juliet, on December 07, 2009 19:34-

A comment on the question "Search(filter) in timeline" in atebits:
Thank you! I did more poking around and found it shortly after I posted. Not where I'd think to look for it (in Search options), but makes sense. – Juliet, on October 30, 2009 21:24

A comment on the question "Search(filter) in timeline" in atebits:
How do we access this feature? When I run a search in Tweetie 2.0, it searches all of Twitter, not just my timeline. – Juliet, on October 28, 2009 20:17-

Juliet asked a question in atebits on September 23, 2009 22:03:
Tweetie will not load more than 20 tweets back in timeline. For some reason, Tweetie for Mac has suddenly stopped loading "more" tweets past the first screen -- when I scroll down to the end of the initial loaded timeline, I see the dot of denial, rather than the spinning wheel of refresh. Tweetie appears to be loading just the first "page" of the timeline that one would see on the website before the "more" button, and will not load any additional tweets further back in the timeline. I would say that 20 tweets maximum are being loaded.-
