JuryDuty shared an idea in TotSpot on July 07, 2009 22:20:
Put family at the top of "Who's in this Picture?"We have a lot of family watching our children's profiles now, and whenever we add a photo, we use the "Who's in this Picture?" to show who all is in each picture.
It would be much more convenient if your immediate family could be at the TOP of this list so you don't have to scroll through a bunch of names every time you're adding pictures of your child and their siblings (which is 95% of the time).-

How can I edit the growth chart?I accidentally entered the wrong information (ounces rather than pounds) on a growth chart and now it looks silly. Is there a way to edit the growth chart info and correct it?
A comment on the idea "How about an Art Board or Talent Show?" in TotSpot:
I'm glad you like this--I would still really like to see it implemented. For each of my children, I've created a photo folder called "Artwork" in the interim, but it would be SO MUCH cooler to have a rotating talent show board with drawings, schoolwork and videos of their talent. – JuryDuty, on May 18, 2009 23:24
JuryDuty replied on March 30, 2009 13:50 to the discussion "Google Video Support PLEASE--for Privacy Reasons!" in TotSpot:
m--this is quite an old topic. Do you realize that TotSpot now allows you to upload videos directly to it? Then you don't need to worry about privacy at all because only those you've invited to TotSpot can see the video. It's MUCH better than using an external service.
This topic was created nearly a year ago when that option wasn't available.
JuryDuty replied on March 02, 2009 15:53 to the question "NS_FILE_CORRUPTED error" in Xmarks:
Thank you! I've been having this problem with Foxmarks hanging upon sync for a long time. Deleting the places.sqlite file fixed this for me.
You might want to make this solution a bit more prominent on your site. It took a lot of Google searching to find it. Mostly I just found other users with the same problem, but no solution.
JuryDuty replied on December 28, 2008 02:52 to the question "closing "new features" banner doesn't work" in TotSpot:
KKat--would you list your Firefox extensions? I've noticed I've had some troubles on other sites with similar features as this and I imagine it's an extension we both have running. Here's what I've got going:
Adblock Plus
AI Roboform
Better GCal
Gmail Signatures
CustomizeGoogle
Download Statusbar
DownThemAll!
FEBE
eBay Companion
FireFTP
Foxmarks
gAttach
Gmail Manager
Stop-or-Reload Button
Tab Mix Plus
URL Fixer
Note: What I can't figure out is that the problem almost always disappears when I restart Firefox, even with all the extensions on. It's like something is "firing" when Firefox is on for a while that causes the problem on this and other sites with Ajax-type features.

JuryDuty reported a problem in TotSpot on December 22, 2008 02:18:
Totspot.com/nullOn my dashboard, I have a new notification:
"Becky Jones wrote on Joe Smith's wall."
The problem is, when you click on the notification, it's pointed to: Totspot.com/null
Just a heads-up.

I can understand not wanting info overload if you had a BUNCH of friends with kids on TotSpot and all their families were active. Then you'd definitely want a filter.
But the social aspect of being able to have your own family talk back-and-forth about pictures, etc, is really worthwhile.
Even if it were just one post a day (or week) that summarized the comments for each person's children, it would be a nice addition.
For an example, we recently had a grandpa comment that an aunt must have really enjoyed her visit and knit a beautiful sweater in a certain picture. The problem is, the aunt will NEVER see that comment or respond unless she just happens to click on that picture--one in hundreds we've uploaded between our kids. But if she had a summary of comments, she could just click to the pictures with comments and participate in the discussion.
JuryDuty asked a question in TotSpot on November 24, 2008 20:27:
Shouldn't all my friends/family see comments left? When I log in to my home page, I can see a list of new comments left on my kid's photos. Shouldn't my friends and family also see this list of new comments on their home page if they want? This would be a nice feature, as it would promote conversations about photos and entries.
Currently, my family and friends aren't aware of new comments on my kid's entries and wish they were.
JuryDuty shared an idea in TotSpot on November 20, 2008 16:22:
Video Sets!OK, so I've uploaded about 40 videos now. I'd love to see the videos "home page" look like the photos "home page": Recently added videos thumbnailed at the top and Video Sets at the bottom, so I can group my videos by year or type of event. It would help the two areas be more uniform, too.
JuryDuty replied on November 20, 2008 16:20 to the idea "Could use a quick way to get to newly uploaded photos IN A PHOTOSET." in TotSpot:
Yes, I use the Reverse Chronological.
Let me clarify--I'm not suggesting basing the new photos on who is viewing them. Here's what I mean:
-- I have a photoset named "2008 Pictures" with 20 photos already in the set.
-- Today, I upload another 4 photos and automatically assign them to that set.
-- On the dashboard, it alerts users that "4 photos have been added to 2008 pictures." BUT instead of showing thumbnails of those photos, it shows random thumbnails from the "2008 Pictures" photoset--which look like nothing new.
I'd like the new photos I've uploaded to be the thumbnails on the dashboard instead. Is that clear as mud? LOL
