HELO MINT WHAT IS YOUR STRATEGY KTHX!
Hi Dann, Justin from Mint here...
I wish development had slowed! Then we'd actually get a break. No. It hasn't. If anything our collaboration with the Intuit folks has resulted in more opportunities for us and much more enthusiasm around the opportunities we present eachother. Sometimes our releases are these big public-facing upgrades (financial fitness beta, investments, planning, etc.), and sometimes they're more behind the scenes (categorization and system enhancements).
Is there anything in particular you're worried about? Feel free to respond here, or email me at justin at mint dot com and I'll see if I can help.
Best,
Justin

Thanks. Been a member for a day so I'm still poking around. One thing: Users don't want to update their prices to maintain value, they want you to provide them. Entering purchase price and purchase year are good data points, but after that you should maintain the value by aggregating it/scraping it/crowdsourcing it. Don't leave that up to the individual to maintain. Just keep that one in mind. The more effort I have to spend on Cork'd the less likely I am to use it.

Hi Jon,
Thanks.

Paid $40
There's a secondary problem though. Price is misleading. What I pay for a wine in year X does not guarantee its value in year X+5

2nd-ing what Matt said.
It should be noted that this problem is unique to TradeKing. For example, HSBC uses the same type of authentication (username, password, and 2nd password entered by clicking with a mouse on a virtual keyboard) and they fully support Mint access.
I was a TradeKing user for two years and think very highly of their services, but I switched to another brokerage who supports Mint last year, before I started working for Mint, and haven't missed it much. There are plenty of excellent, comparable brokerages all vying for your money and we support plenty of them. Check back tonight at this url (we're adding brokerages to it all day today):

You'll be missing out on some pretty impressive features of Mint.com if the only factor you need is bill-payment, which isn't something we're focusing on right now.
Maybe you should look in to one of the many bill-pay services, or even a free one provided by one of your banks? I use paytrust.com, and one of my coworkers uses his Bank of America online account for bill-payment.

Justin Maxwell replied on February 05, 2009 17:55 to the idea "Rounding on the new Mint" in Mint.com:
Couldn't agree more, especially when it comes to budgets and overview balances. We're going to iron out the rounding stuff this week or next. Basically, we were faced with a dilemma: users wanted to see decimals in more places, asap. We opted to just fix the rounding on the backend and expose decimals everywhere first, then work backwards after the update. The other option would have been to work out all the individual roundings beforehand, *then* release the update, which would have made everyone wait an extra week. So, functionality and user need in this case trumped cosmetics. Thanks for mentioning it here.

Justin Maxwell replied on January 21, 2009 06:57 to the idea "A Better System for Reimbursements" in Mint.com:
There's a lot we can do with reimbursements as the product grows. Until then, here's my thoughts about how to use them now...
Personally, I split my reimbursement transaction into the individual components for which I'm reimbursed. I also tag all business expenses with "reimburse" and then the reimbursement with "reimburse", so when I sort by tag "reimburse" I should have a zero balance or see everything canceled out...otherwise it means I've forgotten to submit an expense report for something.
Some of the folks here are very detailed about their use of tags for business expenses and create new tags for each new expense report.
