Verizon, roll over!

Two words: rollover minutes. Other companies are doing it who have similar coverage, products and services. So why not, Verizon? I have the lowest plan plan that allows me 450 minutes per month with unlimited night and weekend for $40 per month. I don't use this many regular minutes, but it is the lowest amount of minutes available for individual plans. I can't keep paying extra for minutes I don't use, never use, and probably never will use.

This $50 a month thing (I'm paying more for additional text messages) is probably pocket change for some, but I imagine that it's serious cash for others. Don't get me wrong - I do enjoy my Verizon service. My calls are clear and I've not had a dropped one yet. I just wish there were more lower-end plan options for those of us who aren't quite as chatty.

It's a limited beta sign-up, and it's being mentioned in blogs and Wired Magazine, so I'm pretty sure they're backlogged at least a bit.

I really do hope that this is something that doesn't end up being a wash. I am really excited to try it based on the screenshots things I've heard about it so far!
