I tweeted about my struggle to infer the format of the ETCO timing file. I got a response from slideshare that said this feature was not ready, had been exposed by mistake (though it seems to have been available for some time now), and to use the manual sync tool, at least for now.
That's the official word. But I have seen some slidecasts with slide intervals much shorter than is possible with the manual sync tool. So it seems that some people got the timing file to work.
Karl Fast asked a question in SlideShare on July 10, 2009 22:41:
What does an ETCO timing file look like?I'm creating a slidecast for a 30 minute talk with 90+ slides. Some of the slides appear for only a few seconds. The interactive tool seems to have a minimum of about 10 seconds per slide. So I tried creating and uploading an ETCO timing file. I can't find information about the file format. My guesses partly work, but everything is shifted and it's definitely not what I need.
All I need is a quite example. Are these special headers required?
