Version 1.25 should have addressed this, and since I have not received any complaints about this issue since 1.25 has been released, this issue should be solved in all future versions of Car Care.

I have identified this problem (which was fairly strange) and believe I have fixed the bug. I will be submitting the new version of Car Care, 1.25, to Apple sometime this weekend, hopefully for release within the next 7 - 10 days on the app store.

If you would like to beta test it, please email me your iPhone's UDID, which is most easily accessible using the Ad Hoc Helper app, a free download on the store.

To delete a service entry, or a service from the "Services" list, swipe from left to right, just as described.

Use the same method as deleting a message in the mail program: swipe your finger from left to right on the entry in the list, or a car's photo on the main screen, then tap "Delete" to permanently remove the entry or car.

Export as an email attachment will be an improvement in a future version of Car Care, version yet to be determined. For now, "Email export" will export your data in a tab-delimited email, which should work for most cases.

I think I could do this, but I would need to send the data out to a server and then have it email back, rather than emailing directly from the iPhone's mail.app... but this could certainly be accomplished. Perhaps I will try doing this... thanks for the feedback.

Aha, you have given at least one good clue in there... you modify an entry, it saves it properly before you exit the app, and then when you exit the app and come back, if the date and note are gone then the mileage is not gone, but it is changed to the original value. This helps me think about what may be going wrong... though I'm not totally sure yet.

The modified fuel types, maintenance tasks, etc should have no impact on the strange behavior you are seeing.

Thanks for your thorough description, and patience as a workaround or a solution is found - I will be sure to post back on here as I get it. It must be a fairly spotty problem, since I have not heard too many people report this issue, and I personally have not yet experienced it...

I am not sure what is happening with this, but I wonder if it may be related to a low memory situation? How many entries do you have input for each vehicle?
Have you experienced this with versions prior to 1.22, or just since you've upgraded to 1.22?
Thanks for the details about it being the notes and date, since that can help me focus on the problem.
Which car info fields are getting wiped? All of them, or only certain specific ones?
I want to address your problem and fix any potential bug in the app, so let's work together to fix this!

George also emailed me and we figured out the issue. Restarting the iPhone usually can help. With this particular case, after some time it seems to have fixed itself out.

There are two ways to delete entries.

2. For entries only, you can tap the "Edit" button in the top-right, then tap the red circle that appears to the left of the entry.
