you can try switching off sharing, logging out/exiting, then restart wuala (or relogin) and enable sharing again. You may have to repeat this 2 times.

Wuala Version 484 and it still doesn't work:
Wuala shows 2.7 GB - on HDD the folder Fragments2 uses 11 GB!
Is there a command to order Wuala to scan this folder again or if this isn't possible, to remove the 'waste'-data?

just got my beta key for dropbox and they get it quite good done. you get 2gb of space and if you save some files in "their" folder, it gets automatically synched. it may not be an easy task but it is possible.

I think file & folder synchronization is actually hard to do efficiently. Will it be based on file piece hash? Entire file hash? File size? Time stamp? If Caleido wants to tackle this, I suggest offering sync for Local Disk first. Trying to sync network drive has many challenges and you don't see some commercial sync software offer network drive synchronization.

Wuala shows 889 MB, on HDD used 1,77 GB.

Wuala Version is 448

Just want to tell you that we haven't forgotten this one. It's not top prio on our current todo list, but it's probably top prio on the wish list.

Yes, this feature would be great, I would really appreciate if this feature would have a high priority.

Because now, if you store some documents on wuala, if you update them locally, you have to upload them again manually, automate this would be nice.

I have the exact same problem.
my Fragments2 Folder now has almost 8 GB and my client still shows "Locally stored Data: 0 B"

Same problem here. So far it only sometimes crashed when I uploaded large files (170mb in this case). Sometimes I get a java error message but usually wuala just closes.

What happens when I manually delete these "Fragments#.db" files? Would not be nice I guess since they contain someone's data... Apparently they are not affected by deleting local cache.
Another issue I would lke to know about is disk fragmentation: Does Wuala use a strategy to minimize it? Since using Wuala my defrag program has a lot to do...

That would definately a good start towards the backup functions of Wuala. I guess the best situation would be using FUSE or similar filesystems to incorporate Wuala into the system to use it with backup programs like rsync. At least for me Wuala is so far only a backup utility (faster uploads/downloads than Amazon S3 for example).

At my computer as well (WualaPC 390)
8,41 GB in Fragments2 -- 2,5 in the client...

When has it stopped? For me Fragments26db and a few databases after that have been created on 27.02.2008 - maybe on that day the server failed? If you have another date it might rather be client related...

I have a similar Problem. Since using Wuala I enabled earning storage. When I reached the 17% my Fragments2 folger started increasing (3.2gb at the moment) but the Graph still shows "0 Mb stored in this computer"
